"Criminal Minds" has had so much controversy on set that it really should be a crime.
Actor Thomas Gibson was let go from the CBS show after an alleged physical altercation with a writer on set, but that hasn't stopped him from reaching out to his fans.
The 54-year-old only joined Twitter on Aug. 16, 2016, but he's since been in a lot of contact with his supporters.
"I wish I could thank each of you for your friendship & support. I love "Criminal Minds," & I'm disappointed by what's happened," he wrote.
He further added, "I'm here on #Twitter so we can stay connected in the days to come, and talk directly with each other. #ThomasGibson."
And he assured us all that this is not the last we will see of him.
"The support you show means the world to me and my family," he wrote. "This is not an ending, but a beginning as well. Thank you all."
He then posted this Instagram photo of himself with his dog Hazel on a boat, because they were metaphorically "looking forward to what's down the road."
He also shared another photo with Hazel to reiterate that he's received an outpouring of support.
There are of course two sides to every story though. The controversy began on Aug. 11 when a writer claimed that Thomas kicked him in the leg, because Thomas was angry over a creative dispute.
At the time, Thomas told TMZ, "There were creative differences on the set and a disagreement. I regret that it occurred. We all want to work together as a team to make the best show possible. We always have and always will."
But the controversy did not end there, because Thomas was fired from the show the following day.
"Thomas Gibson has been dismissed from Criminal Minds. Creative details for how the character's exit will be addressed in the show will be announced at a later date," producers ABC Studios and CBS Television Studios said in a statement.
"Criminal Minds" is set to air on Sept. 28, and Thomas will still be in the first few episodes.
However, what remains to be seen is how exactly they decided to kick him off.
