The former One Direction boy bander stepped out with his supermodel girlfriend Gigi on Sept. 10, 2016, and showed off his heavily inked arms in a Rolling Stones t-shirt.
Fans zeroed in on one major change on the "Pillowtalk" singer's sleeve -- the absence of the tattoo he had done for his ex-fiancée, Perrie Edwards.
Back in 2013 Zayn had a cartoon version of the Little Mix singer inked on his upper right arm a few months before the pair got engaged. But now that the couple are no longer, it looks like the homage to his former flame is gone as well, and that it has been replaced by a dark space-themed scene.
He kept the body art intact up until a few months ago, as it was last seen in a photo of Zayn posing with his family on the beach.
But rumors first circulated that Zayn may have started covering up the Perrie dedication in August 2016, when Gigi snapchatted the star cooking.
In the video it was clear below his shirt sleeve that the Perrie cartoon was no longer visible, but fans were unable to decipher what ink had taken its place.
Zayn flaunted the new ink while out with Gigi in New York City, showing that he covered it up with a space scene -- complete with a flying UFO, planets and stars. The fresh ink is a clear indication that he has moved on, and things between the singer and supermodel Gigi only seem to be intensifying.
The couple stepped out holding hands after Gigi debuted her Tommy Hilfiger collection during New York Fashion Week.
Though he wasn't in attendance at Gigi's fashion show, Zayn took to Instagram to share his support, posting a photo of Gigi with the caption, "Good luck tonight baby. @gigihadid"
Aside from the new addition to his sleeve, Zayn also showed off his fuller facial hair. He debuted his new look earlier in the week at the Tom Ford fashion show on Sept. 7, 2016, rocking his longer locks and thicker beard in an all black Tom Ford look that included a sharp turtleneck.
For her part, Zayn's former fiancée seems to have moved on as well. The singer is rumored to be dating British actor Luke Pasqualino, who strangely enough has his own ties to her ex. When Zayn was asked back in 2012 who he would want to play him in a biopic, Zayn listed Luke.
What a small world!
