On March 7, President Joe Biden delivered his last State of Union address before the November election. During his speech, America's commander-in-chief spoke loudly and often needled his likely 2024 Republican opponent, Donald Trump, without ever saying his name, calling him only "my predecessor." Elsewhere, Biden touched on immigration, abortion, the economy and the conflict in the Middle East.
Following the speech, the POTUS took to social media. "I see a future where we defend democracy — not diminish it. I see a future where we restore the right to choose — not take it away. I see a future where the middle class finally has a fair shot and the wealthy pay their fair share," he penned. "Above all, I see a country for all Americans."
