Philip allegedly bugged Sarah's phone
Lownie claimed on his Substack, The Lownie Report, that the late Duke of Edinburgh "ordered illegal wiretapping," as well as "audio bugs and hidden cameras" to watch the former Duchess of York.

The alleged year-long investigation into Sarah took place after she and Andrew separated but before they officially divorced in 1996.
Philip and Sarah's history of conflict
Philip's relationship with his daughter-in-law was reportedly strained.
According to media personality and former politician Gyles Brandreth, Philip was revolted by Sarah after a photo surfaced in 1992 showing her alleged lover John Bryan sucking on her toes.

"The Duke of Edinburgh decided that, as far as he was concerned, 'enough was enough,'" Brandreth told DailyMail.com of the scandal. "He did not want, or need, to have anything more to do with her. For the remainder of Sarah's stay at Balmoral, his actions spoke louder than words."
Sarah's continuous peril
Sarah recently found herself entangled in drama once again when the full extent of her friendship with the late Jeffrey Epstein was revealed. She subsequent lost her titles and got evicted from Royal Lodge.

"She has always found a way to bounce back from the many public scandals she has faced over the years, normally with a well-paid public mea culpa and a promise to change her ways," a source told DailyMail.com. "[But] that's unlikely to happen this time. It's not just a question of her finances now, but her personal dealings with a serial predator and her willingness to lie about them."
"The phone has stopped ringing overnight. Even those who were willing to defend her less than a month ago don't want to have anything to do with her now," the insider said. "It's a disaster. Professionally and personally. Even she can't see a way of bouncing back."
