During a Reddit AMA, Nick Offerman shared things were "tricky" between them, but he stressed that he still respects
Dennis Quaid.
The
Parks and Rec star shared there is "nuance" in their situation, but he leans on a "message of empathy and true patriotism into the work that I do."

Nick Offerman declared
Dennis Quaid is "a fantastic actor whom I've looked up to my whole life" and is "better in this film than almost anything I've seen him in."
He later stressed that while at work, Offerman isn't asking Quaid about political controversies.
"Good morning, Dennis," Offerman joked. "How about those Epstein files? Anyway, want to run our lines?"

Nick Offerman said he doesn't dislike his costar due to his political beliefs.
"Dealing with Trump supporters in the world is something I try to handle with nuance, because I know many others around the states who are very good people and citizens and would give you the shirt of their back," Offerman explained. "They are on the receiving end of an absolute firehose of misinformation, so it's really cognitively dissonant (impossible) to engage in rational discourse."

During the election,
Dennis Quaid joined Donald Trump's campaign trail and spoke at a rally in California.
"We were a nation in decline. That's what they told us," Quaid said. "
Ronald Reagan came along and said, no, we're not a nation in decline. We're going there. And we followed him. The same with Trump, with President Trump. My favorite president of the 21st century."
