According to a report on TMZ, three storage units in Los Angeles, filled with Beyonce's belongings, were robbed twice this month and it is estimated that the perpetrators took over $1 million worth of her valuables.

The storage units, rented out by Queen Bey's production company, Parkwood Entertainment, held items including expensive handbags and dresses, which were stolen over a week long period.

According to a law enforcement source, the heist also resulted in children's toys and photos, which belonged to a stylist of Beyonce's, being taken.

No arrests have been made yet, but the LAPD is said to be investigating the crime.

Beyonce isn't the only celebrity to have her storage unit raided over the past few months. In January, TMZ reported that Miley Cyrus had clothes, family photos and other mementos taken from her Los Angeles storage unit as well.

Charles 'faked cancer treatment' to 'avoid spending time' with Harry

MEGA

King Charles III pretended to have a medical appointment during his cancer treatment to cut short an uncomfortable meeting with his estranged son Prince HarryWonderwall.com can reveal.

The incident is revealed in royal biographer Robert Jobson's upcoming book The Windsor Legacy.

He writes that the 75-year-old monarch — still reeling from months of public criticism from Harry and his wife Meghan Markle — was irritated and exhausted by his son and the actress' constant attacks on the royal family at the time, which came with the launch of the pair's Netflix docuseries in which The Firm was mocked and shamed.

"The king, who'd broken the news of his cancer to Harry in a phone call, had started treatment straight away. He was undergoing chemotherapy and felt a strong need for peace and quiet," Jobson writes. "The last thing he needed was any drama – yet, without an invitation, Harry took it upon himself to fly over to see his father. The king had planned to spend the weekend at Sandringham in Norfolk, so he was irritated at being forced to wait in London until his son arrived."

"Their meeting was brief, around 30 minutes. Wary of letting Harry prolong it, Charles had pre-arranged for the meeting to be interrupted with a warning that it was time for a medical procedure," Jobson continues. "His son left soon afterwards. In fact, there was no procedure scheduled and there never had been. Instead, the king flew straight to Sandringham on a helicopter that had been standing by for his delayed journey.

"As for [Prince William], he stayed away. He had zero interest in spending time with his brother," Jobson adds.

MEGA

The revelation comes amid one of the most bitter royal rifts in modern history. Relations between Charles and Harry collapsed after the release of the Duke of Sussex's memoir Spare and the Netflix series Harry and Meghan, which aired explosive allegations against the royal family.

In both, Harry, now 41, accused his father of emotional neglect and his stepmother, Queen Camilla, of leaking stories to the press.

"Harry's relentless attacks on his family seemed unstoppable until a sudden palace announcement stopped him in his tracks: His father was suffering from cancer," Jobson said.

According to a royal insider, "The king was furious that Harry tried to turn even that moment into a publicity stunt. He wanted peace and rest, not more drama. When Harry announced he was flying over uninvited, the mood inside Clarence House was tense. Everyone knew the visit would be brief."

Insiders describe their reunion in February 2024, just after Charles announced to the world he had cancer, as frosty and businesslike.

"Charles was courteous but clearly detached. There was no hug, no real affection. He wanted to keep things civil, but he had no desire to dig back into the past or stir up old tensions," one source said.

At the time, the palace had announced the king had begun cancer treatment following a hospital procedure.

His feud with Harry has only deepened since.

The pair did come together for a "peace summit" earlier this year, with a meeting over tea lasting a little less than an hour.

But ever since, there have been rumblings Charles feared Harry had leaked details of their talks.

Harry's recent comments that he didn't "know how much longer my father has" were also seen by courtiers as deeply inappropriate.

"That comment was the breaking point for the king. He now views Harry as someone who's turned his back on the family – a man who traded loyalty for attention and profit," a senior royal aide said, adding that "all trust between father and son is now gone."

Elizabeth feared William would be a 'lazy king'

James Whatling / MEGA

Queen Elizabeth II died fearing her grandson Prince William might one day become a "celebrity monarch" rather than a dutiful sovereign, Wonderwall.com can reveal.

Details of her anxiety are laid out by royal biographer Robert Jobson in his upcoming book The Windsor Legacy, in which he writes the late monarch, who died in 2022 at 96, privately worried William, 43, could allow the trappings of fame and modern popularity to overshadow his sense of royal duty.

Her concerns, he says, reflected her lifelong belief that service must always come before self.

"Although she loved William and saw much to admire, she told insiders that she feared he might become a 'celebrity monarch' rather than a dedicated one," Jobson said.

He added her doubts were shaped by a series of incidents in her final years, including moments when she felt the Prince of Wales was "too rigid" and not yet ready for the relentless demands of kingship.

One such moment came in July 2022 when the queen — then frail and increasingly reliant on walking sticks — was due to open a new 29-bed facility at Thames Hospice near Windsor.

It was an engagement she was reluctant to cancel, having a personal connection through a retiring staff member who once cared for the birds at the Royal Aviary.

According to Jobson, when the queen asked William to stand in for her, he declined, citing family commitments.

The decision left her disappointed and irritated.

"She is said to have scoffed, 'Isn't that what nannies and policemen are for?'" Jobson writes.

In the end, Princess Anne accompanied her mother to the event – the final official engagement the queen carried out in England.

A royal aide told Wonderwall.com, "The queen adored William but worried he sometimes treated royal duty like a job with fixed hours, rather than a calling. She often said that being sovereign isn't about convenience – it's about constancy. She died worrying William would simply want to become a celebrity king and would be rather lazy."

After Prince Philip died in 2021, the queen's inner circle grew smaller. She spent her final year largely at Windsor Castle, her health declining and her days marked by solitude.

The second of her three sons — Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, who has been stripped of his royal titles over his Jeffrey Epstein scandal — and his former wife Sarah Ferguson were among her most frequent visitors, while King Charles III and Queen Camilla often stayed overnight. William and his wife, Kate Middleton, living nearby at Adelaide Cottage, provided her with some comfort by bringing along their children on visits.

But even as she delighted in watching her great-grandchildren play, the queen confided to courtiers her unease about the monarchy's future direction.

A palace source said, "She worried that the monarchy she'd devoted her whole life to could one day become more focused on appearances than on genuine duty and service."

Elizabeth's deep sense of duty persisted even in frailty.

When staff suggested she rest during the final weeks at Balmoral, she insisted on keeping her promise to meet outgoing Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his successor Liz Truss on September 6 — just two days before she died.

In her last summer, Jobson writes, the queen found solace in the Scottish Highlands.

"Time was running out, it seemed, for everything she wished to accomplish before it was too late," Jobson writes.

One morning at Craigowan Lodge, she broke her own rule by inviting local grocer George Strachan for breakfast.

"Breaking her strict rule of no breakfast guests outside family, she made herself available. She simply wanted to say goodbye: a quiet gesture of loyalty and grace," Jobson said.

It was a meeting that signified Elizabeth's reign would end as it had begun: defined by duty, restraint and an unshakable belief in service over self.

How Do Immediate Fire Restoration Services Prevent Further Damage?

Townsend Walton/Unsplash

New York City residents know that after a fire breakout, the clock starts ticking. It is necessary to act quickly for effective recovery within the first 72 hours of the fire breakout. Homeowners who overlook this aspect not only pay more than required but also face additional problems.

Here we will discuss why the initial 72 hours are essential in preventing further damage.

The critical first hours – why the 72-hour benchmark matters

When a fire breaks out, the initial blaze is only a small part of the story. After firefighters leave, there are smouldering materials, residual heat, moisture, soot and unstable structures everywhere. The stage is set for further damage.

Within the first 24 to 72 hours of the incident, secondary damage can be severe. The fire itself does not cause this damage. When you delay restoring the affected property, problems can arise. You may experience issues such as mold, dampness, corrosion and respiratory problems.

Experts say the 72-hour window is the timeframe after which the degradation process speeds up. Here's how:

-Acidic residues and soot from combustion affect surfaces, corrode metal and stain fabrics.

-Moisture slowly soaks into flooring, drywall and wood framing. This can lead to mold and mildew growth if the area is not dried quickly.

-The ash and smoke particulates easily get into the HVAC systems. They also seep through ductwork, upholsteries and fabrics. This leads to strong, unpleasant smells.

-Structural elements weakened by fire and heat may deteriorate and collapse without quick stabilization.

A fire restoration company acts within the crucial 72 hours to minimize secondary damage and stabilize the property as much as possible.

The cost of delay

Failure to act within the 72-hour window can significantly increase the risk and severity of secondary damage. Moisture left standing leads to mold infestations before you realize. This may require complete replacement rather than repair work.

Soot-acid damage to glass, metal and electronics might become permanent. Insurance companies often adjust reimbursement claims depending on the timeliness of the action. To be precise, the longer the wait, the higher the damage cost will be.

How a home restoration company can be of help

For homeowners in the NYC area, hiring a professional home restoration company is essential. Such qualified firms specialize in fire restoration.

Upon learning about the fire breakout, they arrive promptly at the scene. They understand fire and water damage. They have industrial drying equipment and the expertise to decontaminate mold and soot.

Most importantly, such professionals know how to work with insurance companies to obtain maximum compensation benefits. The home restoration company becomes an active partner in preventing secondary damage and restoring the habitability of the property. They also attempt to return your property to its original condition with minimal delay.

Summing it up

In the unfortunate event of a fire breakout in your property, the first 72 hours are essential. This is the best time to prevent the cascade of secondary damage. Acting swiftly with the right professionals can bridge the gap between smooth recovery and long-term, expensive issues.

Home Garage Gate Installation: Design Options, Security Benefits and Cost Guide

Courtesy of Andrew Leu on Unsplash

Installing a garage gate is one of the most impactful upgrades a homeowner can make to enhance both the functionality and security of their property. A well-designed garage gate not only protects vehicles and stored belongings but also contributes to the overall aesthetic and value of the home. With a wide range of design options, advanced security features and varying cost considerations, choosing the right garage gate requires thoughtful planning and informed decision-making. This guide explores the essential aspects of garage gate installation, from design choices to security advantages and budgeting insights.

Exploring Design Options for Garage Gates

Garage gates come in a variety of styles, materials and mechanisms, each offering distinct advantages depending on the homeowner's preferences and the architectural style of the property. Traditional swing gates evoke a classic charm and are often favored for homes with ample driveway space. These gates open outward or inward and can be crafted from wood, wrought iron or steel, allowing for customization in terms of color, finish and decorative elements.

Sliding gates are ideal for properties with limited space or sloped driveways. They operate horizontally along a track and are known for their smooth motion and compact footprint. Sliding gates can be designed with solid panels for privacy or open frameworks for visibility, depending on the desired balance between security and aesthetics.

Roll-up garage gates are commonly used in urban settings and commercial properties. These gates coil vertically into a compact housing above the garage opening, making them space-efficient and easy to automate. Materials such as aluminum and galvanized steel are popular for roll-up gates due to their durability and resistance to corrosion.

Sectional overhead gates are another popular option, especially for residential garages. These gates consist of horizontal panels that slide upward and rest parallel to the ceiling when open. They offer excellent insulation and can be fitted with windows or decorative inserts to match the home's exterior design.

Custom-designed gates allow homeowners to express their personal style while meeting specific functional requirements. Whether incorporating intricate metalwork, natural wood textures or modern minimalist lines, custom gates can transform a garage entrance into a statement piece that complements the overall property.

Security Benefits of Installing a Garage Gate

Security is a primary motivation for installing a garage gate. A robust gate acts as a physical barrier that deters unauthorized access and protects valuable assets stored within the garage. Vehicles, tools, sports equipment and seasonal items are often kept in garages, making them attractive targets for theft. A secure gate reduces this risk by limiting entry and providing a clear boundary.

Automated garage gates enhance security by allowing controlled access through remote controls, keypads or smartphone apps. Homeowners can monitor and manage gate activity in real time, granting access to family members or service providers while keeping intruders out. Integration with surveillance cameras and motion sensors adds another layer of protection, enabling prompt alerts and recordings of suspicious activity.

Modern garage gates can also be equipped with smart technology that syncs with home automation systems. Features such as automatic locking, scheduled opening and closing and voice command operation contribute to convenience and security. In emergency situations, gates can be programmed to open automatically for first responders or shut down to prevent unauthorized exit.

Privacy is another benefit of garage gates. Solid designs block the view into the garage, preventing passersby from seeing what is stored inside. This reduces the temptation for theft and adds a sense of seclusion to the property. For homes located near busy streets or in densely populated areas, a garage gate provides a buffer that enhances both safety and comfort.

Understanding the Cost of Garage Gate Installation

The cost of installing a garage gate varies widely based on several factors, including the type of gate, materials used, automation features and labor charges. Basic manual gates made from standard materials such as steel or aluminum may cost less, while custom-designed or automated gates with advanced features command higher prices.

Material choice plays a significant role in cost. Wooden gates offer natural beauty but require regular maintenance and may be more expensive due to craftsmanship. Steel and aluminum gates are more affordable and durable, though they may lack the visual warmth of wood. Wrought iron gates are often the most expensive due to their ornate designs and heavy-duty construction.

Automation adds to the overall expense but offers significant convenience and security benefits. Motorized systems, remote controls, sensors and smart integrations can increase the cost but also enhance the value of the installation. Homeowners should consider the long-term savings and peace of mind that come with automated features when evaluating their budget.

Labor costs depend on the complexity of the installation and the region. Professional installers like Zimmer metal gate installers assess the site, prepare the foundation and ensure that the gate operates smoothly and safely. Additional expenses may include permits, electrical wiring and customization. It is advisable to obtain multiple quotes and review the scope of work to avoid unexpected charges.

Maintenance costs should also be factored into the budget. Regular inspections, lubrication of moving parts and occasional repairs help extend the life of the gate and prevent costly breakdowns. Investing in quality materials and professional installation reduces the likelihood of frequent maintenance and ensures reliable performance.

Conclusion: Making a Smart Investment in Garage Gate Installation

Installing a garage gate is a strategic investment that enhances security, improves curb appeal and adds functionality to the home. By exploring design options, understanding the security benefits and planning for the associated costs, homeowners can make informed choices that align with their needs and lifestyle. Whether opting for a sleek automated gate or a handcrafted wooden design, the right garage gate transforms the entrance into a secure and stylish feature that serves the property for years to come.

Working with experienced professionals ensures that the installation meets safety standards, operates efficiently and complements the home's architecture. With thoughtful planning and attention to detail, garage gate installation becomes more than a home improvement project — it becomes a lasting enhancement to the quality, security and value of the residence.

Kitchen Remodeling on a Budget: Smart Ways to Save Without Sacrificing Style

Jason Briscoe/Unsplash

If you stay in the New York City, you know that kitchen remodeling often has a set of distinctive challenges that need to be addressed. Some of them include rigid building regulations, increased material expenses and limited space.

However, in this vibrant city, homeowners are finding creative ways to update their kitchen décor without overspending. That means, whether you are upgrading a tiny kitchen space in your apartment in NYC or even a brownstone in Brooklyn, it is necessary to give importance to thoughtful planning. The strategic design choices can enable you to achieve a functional and aesthetically pleasing space that caters to your budget.

· You should plan before you spend

Each successful kitchen remodel project needs a solid plan. Before purchasing new countertops and cabinets, it is essential to outline your goals clearly. Do you want to focus on aesthetics, enhanced functionality or the home's resale value? The moment you keep your priorities clear, you can develop a realistic budget that allows for accommodating any unexpected expenses.

In NYC, where material costs and contractor rates can vary significantly, it is a wise decision to obtain multiple quotes from NYC kitchen remodeling experts before committing to one. A visible design vision also enables you to avoid expensive mid-project alterations, which is the reason behind budget overruns.

· Refresh and not replace

One of the best ways to save money is to update something you have instead of replacing it. For instance, refacing cabinets is a great option to achieve a new look while saving money in the process. Change the paint color, install new hardware and update your fixtures, and that kitchen is transformed at a fraction of the cost.

Countertops are another area where interchangeable options can make a significant difference. Using quartz or laminate look-alike countertops is a great substitute that provides a modern aesthetic, offering the durability and affordability to withstand even the busiest households in NYC.

· Invest wisely

Remodeling on a budget doesn't mean you have to sacrifice quality. The secret lies in making informed decisions about where to spend your limited budget. You'll want to allocate a significant portion of your budget to durable, high-impact surfaces, such as flooring, appliances and the structure of the cabinets. You can save money on decorative finishes and luxurious extras.

For example, energy-efficient appliances may have a higher upfront cost. Still, they offer long-term savings that result in lower utility bills — a significant benefit in New York City, where energy costs can be substantial. In addition, flooring options such as engineered wood or luxury vinyl tile offer a high-end, natural wood look without the price of a high-end hardwood option. It will add more value to your home renovations NYC without increasing your costs.

Last but not least, adding a small amount of DIY can help stretch your remodeling budget. For example, painting walls, replacing cabinet handles or adding a new backsplash are simple enough for most homeowners. However, let licensed professionals handle plumbing, electrical work and any other tasks that alter the structure of your home. The truth is New York City has some pretty strict building codes and any unpermitted work could lead to costly fines.

Summing it up

When you have decided to renovate your kitchen space in New York City, you don't need to lose out on your savings. When you plan thoughtfully, a few upgrades and a blend of DIY initiatives and professional guidance, can help you develop a functional kitchen space that caters to your budget and lifestyle. The task is to balance practicality and creativity together. That way you can prove even in the costly NYC region, innovative design is possible without ruining your savings.

What To Consider When Renovating a 10×10 Bathroom?

Bilal Mansuri/Unsplash

Living in an apartment in New York City with a 10×10 bathroom is a luxury in today's era, when most others feature a smaller footprint. It's a generous size, which also means you will spend more on renovations. Are you planning to upgrade it? Typically, this size of bathroom renovation project costs anywhere between $8,000 and $60,000. A low-budget bathroom can be completed for $8,000 to $15,000, while a mid-range upgrade can be expected to cost $15,000 to $30,000. Of course, anything above this falls under the luxury category.

To understand the 10×10 bathroom remodel cost, you must account for various components and factors from the start. It will help you set realistic expectations and make the entire renovation experience enjoyable. Here is some quick insight into this topic…

Bathroom renovation cost: Contributing factors

Even bathrooms of the same size can have widely varying costs because of personal preferences. Some homeowners simply replace tiles and fixtures, while others demolish the entire existing setup to reconfigure the layout. If you keep the plumbing and walls intact, you can save a significant amount. However, older buildings in the city often fail to meet modern electrical and plumbing codes. To bring them up to standard, you may have to spend thousands of dollars, and this cost cannot be avoided due to safety risks. As far as material costs are concerned, simple porcelain tiles and stock vanities can be purchased at lower prices. However, expenses will increase if you choose custom cabinetry, premium marble or tiles and other high-end finishes.

Likewise, every bathroom (basic, mid-range and luxury) will feature sinks, toilets, tubs/showers, lighting and other essential amenities. These models come at various price points. Basic models can be obtained for a few hundred dollars, while luxurious fixtures can easily cost thousands. Expect to spend more on smart mirrors, heated floors and rainfall showers. When considering these aspects, you cannot omit project management and labor costs. In NYC, you have to pay a higher labor fee for talented workers. They are primarily licensed professionals who specialize in every aspect of a bathroom remodel, from demolition to tile installation.

You also have to secure permits and approvals for full bathroom renovations in the city. It's particularly mandatory in condos and co-ops. It's not an easy process, and only locally renowned remodelers can handle this area well. For an idea, you can check the NYC Renovation website.

10×10 bathroom full upgrade: What to include

Generally, a full-scale project includes the demolition of the existing structure, plumbing upgrades, electrical rewiring, enhanced lighting, new tiles for walls and flooring, a new sink and vanity, replacement of the shower/bathtub, toilet upgrade, waterproofing, painting and more. As such, labor costs form a major part of these projects.

A 10×10 bathroom opens up possibilities for premium features, such as double vanities and freestanding bathtubs. However, before you decide what to do, we recommend that you have a detailed discussion with the experts. The professionals are proficient and will guide you with all the necessary details.

Early Warning Signs Your Sidewalk Is About to Crack or Lift

Ashe Walker/Unsplash

The sidewalks of New York City have greater importance than being mere concrete paths. They are the lifelines for countless pedestrians who are navigating the city daily. However, with ongoing foot traffic, changing weather conditions, extending tree roots and hefty deliveries, even the strongest sidewalks might start to fail.

When you see a broken sidewalk in the city, it isn't just an unpleasant sight. Instead, it can soon become a security issue for the people walking on it and a liability for property owners. Identifying the early warning signs is essential and can let you know if the sidewalk will collapse or crack. That way you can address the issue before it becomes an expensive repair or turn into a DOT violation.

Hairline fractures and small surface cracks

One of starting signs of a broken sidewalk is the damage that starts rather small. It begins with spiderweb-like, fine cracks all through the surface. These minor fissures might appear harmless in the beginning, but they enable water to get inside. When there is the freeze-thaw cycle in NYC, the trapped moisture can expand, thereby aggravating the crack that eventually breaks the concrete apart. Daily inspection can help to detect these early signs before they become uneven slabs and bigger splits.

Raised or uneven slabs

If some parts of the sidewalk appear a little lower or higher compared to others, it is a sign that there has been underlying movement. Tree roots expanding underneath the pavement typically push the concrete upward, while soil erosion can lead to sinking. In most cases, if you find poor drainage or older trees in your residential area, then you are bound to come across uneven slabs. The moment a certain segment starts to lift, it can develop tripping hazards and speed up any structural weakness in the nearby panels.

Water pooling right after rain

The puddles that linger for a long time after rain can signify that the sidewalk grading is off. It could also suggest that specific segments have started to sag. The standing water doesn't just aggravate concrete deteriorating over a span of time but it also adds to the freeze-linked cracking and slipperiness prevalent in the winter months. Correct drainage is necessary for averting any long-term structural damage. Here the sidewalk repair contractors NYC need to check for water drainage in areas and implement a restoration plan.

Finally, in several parts of NYC, tree roots appear to be a primary reason for broken and cracked sidewalks. Roots looking for oxygen and water push outside against the pavement, developing visible bulges and even cracks. When you notice soil mounds developing close to roots or a sidewalk coming out of the joints, it's a visible sign that the concrete is about fracture or lift. Noticing this beforehand and responding accordingly helps.

Summing it up

When you check for these early warning signs, it can make a big difference between a huge reconstruction and an easy, simple repair. In New York City, property owners are responsible for maintaining the sidewalks near buildings. Hence, overlooking the lifted slabs and small cracks can result in violating local rules and regulations and become a reason for accidents and injuries. It is necessary to inspect your property early and address issues head on, so that you can avert the sidewalk damages to some extent.

Rob Shuter on His Debut Novel, 'It Started With a Whisper'

Move over The Devil Wears Prada — there's a new guilty pleasure in town, and Hollywood is already buzzing. Rob Shuter — the celebrity columnist, podcast star and host of VH1's The Gossip Table known for his signature "naughty but nice" flair — has written his first novel, It Started with a Whisper, a razor-sharp look inside the glamorous, backstabbing world of fame, friendship and media. And while Rob insists it's fiction, insiders say the guessing game has already begun.

Keep reading for a Q&A with Rob all about the book…

Q: Rob, congratulations! Hollywood seems obsessed with your debut. How does it feel to have everyone talking?

Rob: Honestly, it's surreal. I've spent my entire career writing about the stories — not being the story. I always said gossip could be kind, that it didn't have to destroy people to entertain them. So to now have this level of buzz around something I created from scratch — it's thrilling and terrifying at the same time. Everyone's trying to get their hands on the book and figure out who's who, which is both flattering and a little hilarious.

Q: For readers who haven't heard yet, what is It Started with a Whisper all about?

Rob: It's about four ambitious insiders who get the chance of a lifetime: launching a brand-new morning gossip show. It's their dream job — glitz, glamour and access to the biggest stars in the world. But they quickly learn the most dangerous secrets aren't about the celebrities they cover — they're about each other. Behind the laughter and on-air banter are fragile egos, buried betrayals and a desperate need to stay relevant in an industry built on whispers.mIt's a love letter to the business I know so well — but also a cautionary tale. Because in the world of gossip, the truth always comes with a price.

Q: The comparisons to The Devil Wears Prada are everywhere. How do you feel about that?

Rob: It's the greatest compliment. I worked for Naomi Campbell. I know Prada exposed the fashion world's glittering underbelly — and I wanted to do the same for celebrity journalism. People see the red carpets and the smiles, but behind those glossy covers are sleepless nights, phone calls from frantic publicists and impossible ethical choices. It's glamorous, yes, but it's also brutal. And yet, for those who survive it, there's an intoxicating beauty in it too.

Q: Be honest: Are any of the characters based on real people?

Rob (laughing): Everyone's asking that! Let's just say I've met enough divas, geniuses, secret-keepers and nightmares to fill several novels. Every character is a cocktail — a splash of truth, a twist of fantasy and a dash of wish fulfillment. But if you think you recognize yourself… maybe you do! That's part of the fun. The industry is buzzing, and it's making them nervous. But fiction gives you the freedom to tell emotional truths without pointing fingers. Several big names have been calling my publisher to get hold of an advance copy.

Q: Why now? You have an extraordinary career in media as one of the most powerful columnists in the world — what made this the right time to write your first novel?

Rob: I think I finally had something to say. I've been on every side of this business — publicist, columnist, podcaster, talk show host, guest — and I've seen what fame does to people. I've seen the loneliness behind the lenses. During the pandemic, when the world slowed down, I realized I wanted to tell a story about the human cost of chasing success. It's funny, it's fast, it's full of gossip — but underneath it all, it's about friendship and forgiveness, about what happens when the lights go out and you're left with yourself.

Q: The publishing world is calling this "dangerously real." Are you worried about anyone's reaction?

Rob (smiling): A little. But gossip has always been about revealing truths people don't want to admit. The book doesn't attack anyone — it just holds up a mirror. Some people won't like what they see. But that's what makes it delicious. One Real Housewife texted me, "I can't wait to read it — but I'm scared." That's when I knew I'd done my job.

Q: What do you hope readers take away from It Started with a Whisper?

Rob: I hope they laugh, first and foremost. But I also hope they see that behind every headline is a human being. This book isn't just about gossip — it's about ambition, identity and the stories we tell to survive. And maybe — just maybe — it'll make readers think twice before judging someone from a single headline.

Q: Final question: Can we expect It Started with a Whisper to be seen on the screen?

Rob (grinning): Let's just say there have already been calls. Hollywood loves a good whisper — especially when it might be about them.

It Started with a Whisper by Rob Shuter is available for pre-order now. Early readers call it "a delicious cocktail of ambition, betrayal, and the high price of fame." And as one insider put it, "The entire industry is wondering who's in it — and they should be."
