Katy Perry is likely to be "Waking Up In Vegas" soon.
Longstanding rumors linking Katy to a potential Las Vegas residency show are gaining steam, and some intricate details have been leaked online.

A Katy Perry fan account on Twitter said the show — rumored to be taking place at the soon-to-open Resorts World casino — is "100% confirmed," citing an email from a source.
The twice-weekly show will supposedly run for four months and will have a "circus theme," much like the singer's last album, Smile, which was released in August 2020.
"She's also going to have a huge star on stage," the email said, adding that Katy wants everything to be "grandiose."

The leak alleged that Katy could put on two "completely different shows" during the residency run, but her team is reportedly laser-focused on one show for now. It isn't unheard of for an artist to have vastly different residency shows. Lady Gaga, who also has a residency on the Las Vegas Strip, performs her high-energy "Enigma" show and a more intimate-feeling "Jazz and Piano" show at Park MGM.
The fan site claimed Katy's show "will be a show LIKE Disney and she will be flying across the stage."
As of now, Katy's show is set to begin in late 2011 or early 2022, as it's assumed that the country will be vaccinated against COVID-19 by then, the leaked message said.
The email also claimed the "American Idol" judge is currently working on new music, so the Vegas show is likely to feature new material.
Katy's name has been linked to a Vegas residency show for years. In February 2020, a popular Vegas blog implied that a show at Resorts World was essentially a done deal.
Although all the signs point to a confirmed residency show, the email message warns, "[Katy] is always a mystery and can cancel things anytime."
