Tommy Manzo, the ex-husband of former "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Dina Manzo, was indicted on Tuesday for once hiring a Mafia member to assault her now-husband.

In exchange for the assault, the Mafia man got a huge discount on his wedding reception, which took place at a New Jersey restaurant owned by Tommy.
A press release from the U.S. Attorney's Office District of New Jersey said Tommy hired John Perna, a "made man" in the Lucchese crime family, to assault David Cantin in July 2015. At the time, David was dating Dina. They've since married.
"In exchange for committing the assault, Perna held a lavish wedding reception at Manzo's restaurant for a fraction of the price, which was paid by another Lucchese associate and close friend of Manzo's," the press release said, adding that multiple member of that Lucchese Crime Family attended the reception.
Both Tommy and John were charged with several crimes, including committing a violent crime in aid of racketeering activity and other fraud charges.

Dina, who was a regular on the first two seasons of "Housewives," and David have dealt with other violent incidents in their relationship. Back in May 2017, the couple were bound and beaten during a home invasion.
Last year a man was arrested for the attack.
