Paula Abdul did NOT sign up for this. An overexcited and nervous contestant on "So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation" just couldn't hold it in on Monday night's episode… and Paula was the unfortunate bullseye.
After dancing a routine to Beyonce's "Countdown" —and killing it, no less — 12-year-old Chi Tahani was given a thumbs up, giving her a pass into the next round. Paula was so proud of the tyke that she went in for a tight hug, and then it happened.
The girl tried holding it in, her cheeks puffed, as Paula asked "Are you OK, honey?" But, Chi wouldn't hold it in anymore, vomited on Paula… The video is everything.
Chi profusely apologized to the "Straight Up" singer, who reassured her that it was okay.
"It's okay, honey," she said before telling her fellow judges. "I've never had anyone vomit on me like that."
To hear Chi explain it, she said, "Well, I hugged Nigel [Lythgoe] and then I hugged Paula and she just squeezed me to tight and the happiness came out on her jacket."
After the bodily fluid release, Chi was seen skipping with joy out of the auditorium to her post-audition interview with host Cat Deeley, who laughed profusely at the incident.
Although the episode just aired, Paula actually showed a bit of the clip on her personal Instagram of the girl's performance and the aftermath late last month.
"Big talent really does come in small palaces...ANNNNND this one exploded all over my jacket! LOL! It happens…," she said, later adding, "Can't wait for you all to see!"
Perhaps we saw too much, actually, but somehow we can't stop watching!
