Halsey says their health is a "a complex mystery" as she continues to fight an illness.
The singer, who used the she/they pronouns, took to their Instagram Story to give fans an update on their health and reveal why they might be MIA for a while.

"I have been in and out of the hospital for the past few weeks dealing with some new challenges," Halsey wrote via their Instagram Story. "[I'm] trying my best to keep things normal; Grammys, Coachella etc. But my body is putting up a strong protest. And ultimately demanding that I slow down or stop foreal this time. Especially so I can be in the best shape for tour."
Halsey's "Love and Power" tour is scheduled to begin in West Palm Beach, Fla., on May 17.

The "Without You" singer underwent surgery in late March and attended the 2022 Grammy awards in Las Vegas just three days later. Halsey, though, ended up leaving the show early after "not feeling super well."
"Chronic illness is a complex mystery," the singer said in the new Instagram message. "If I am or have been MIA please don't take it personally. I am doing the best I can under difficult circumstances. Sharing this for my fellow Spoonies. All that glitters… "
Halsey's health struggles are nothing new, as she previously acknowledged having surgery for endometriosis in 2017.
After welcoming a child with boyfriend Alev Aydin in July 2021, the songstress happily showed off her endometriosis scars on Instagram.
"The scars that got me this angel," Halsey said, adding the hashtag "endo warrior."
