nasty split

Jesse Williams' estranged wife accuses him of violating court order

The split between Jesse Williams and his estranged wife, Aryn Drake-Lee, is starting to feel like a heavyweight fight, with each round bringing a new set of drama.

In their latest spat, Aryn is accusing the "Grey's Anatomy" star of defying a judge's order, alleging that he has introduced their kids to his girlfriend. Under terms of their custody agreement, neither is allowed to introduce their kids to a partner until they are six months into the romance.

TMZ, citing the latest court documents filed by Aryn, says Jesse has been letting their two kids hang around his new girlfriend since October, and they even call her "Mama C." She also alleged that the kids joined Jesse and his unnamed lady on a vacation. For months, he has been linked to Minka Kelly.

Aryn also claims that Jesse made her look bad in front of their daughter, Sadie, and it had to do with desserts.

Jesse's ex claims he took cupcakes to Sadie's school, which is apparently not allowed — Aryn says the school picks one day a month to celebrate the children's birthdays who were born that month.

Sadie, 4, is too young to understand the alleged birthday rule, Aryn says, and "she was mad at me for not attending her birthday party" at school.

Aryn has other gripes, too, but those are the two main ones as of now.

TMZ quotes a source close the former couple who claims that this is false and a case of sour grapes. Aryn is "obsessed with being seen as a victim, and she can't do that if people see Jesse a the fun, caring, good person he is," TMZ said.

The split is one of the more contentious in recent memory, but when the duo first split, it was reported that things were amicable, but they later got increasingly volatile.

In court docs filed in August 2017, Aryn claimed that their kids are being "emotionally compromised" because of Jesse's dating life, saying he has a "revolving door" of women. She also claimed that Jesse has an unhealthy temper. The actor, though, countered that claim, saying that his kids have never seen him angry, but they have witnessed Aryn be verbally abusive to him. He also said she once repeatedly slammed the front door on his leg during an argument.

A month earlier, he filed court documents claiming that his estranged wife refused his request for more time with the kids and so he asked for a "court order for a joint physical custody parenting plan."

"Aryn restricts my time with the children and decides when, and for how long I may have them. She has rejected, without any reason, each and every request I have made to have the children sleepover at my residence," the actor said. "On the few days that I have the children, Aryn has insisted that my time with the children be limited during the week to approximately two and half hours per day, despite my requests for more time, including overnights with the children."

Last September, though, the volume appeared to be turned down significantly when the feuding parents reached a temporary custody agreement, agreeing to share joint legal custody of Maceo and Sadie.

"All decisions made regarding the health, welfare and upbringing will be made between the two of them," TMZ reported at the time.

The agreement also made it clear that neither Jesse nor Aryn can make derogatory remarks about the other in front of the children.

Then, in early January, Jesse went to court to claim that Aryn prevented him from seeing their kids over the holidays.

The sexy way Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos handle marriage tension

When things get tense in Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos' household, the clothes apparently come off.

The couple, who've been married for 25 years, were discussing the HBO miniseries "Scenes From A Marriage" while Mark substituted for Ryan Seacrest on "Live" on Sept. 20.

"I was like, none of this would ever be happening in the Mark Consuelos household, because he would have nipped all of this in the bud immediately," Kelly said, referring to the show, which chronicles the demise of a relationship. "He would have been like, 'Oh, you're upset? I know how to take care of that. Oh, you don't feel good about something? I'll take care of that.'"

While comparing their real-life marriage to the charaters' relationship on the HBO show, Kelly saw little resemblance, noting, "Because everything for Mark is settled with, everything is settled with…"

"Love," Mark quickly chimed in. Kelly agreed, "Love and sexy time."

Mark and Kelly later discussed one particular scene in which the "Riverdale" star assumed the on-screen couple would have sex.

"Yeah, but you think that about everything," Kelly replied. "There are scenes in 'The Godfather,' and he's like, 'I thought for a minute they were going to [do it].'"

Mark's response: "Listen, that's how I deal with stress."

Sobriety rocks

Patricia Heaton details the exact moment she decided to get sober

Patricia Heaton has long been honest about her struggles with alcohol, and she's now opening up about basically being "humiliated" into sobriety three years ago.

While speaking to Elizabeth Vargas on her "Heart of the Matter" podcast, the "Everybody Loves Raymond" alum recalled attending a dinner party at her son's home in Nashville when her rock-bottom moment occurred after she drank wine before, during and after the party.

"And I was just filling my glass with red wine throughout the five or six hours that we were together. I don't know how many glasses it was, and I felt completely sober and fine," she said. "I was making a joke to the table, and I started saying, 'You know, in our family it's a tradition…' And I could not pronounce the word 'tradition.' I tried three times, and I couldn't say the word."

To this day, she doesn't know how she was pronouncing the word, but she knows it was wrong.

While this happened, one of her sons said, "Oh, great, Mom. You can't even talk."

"I was so humiliated in front of my sons and their friends," the actress remembers. "And God knows that that's all it takes for me to have that kind of sense of their mom's looking drunk in front of them. But, also, I thought, 'I feel fine. What is happening in my brain? What is the alcohol doing to my brain where the synapses are misfiring to the point where I can't say this word?'"

In that very moment she told herself that she was done drinking.

Patricia has maintained her sobriety for three years.

"I feel now that I can do anything if I can get rid of alcohol," she said. "Alcohol's the hardest thing in my life."

Hair ablaze

Nicole Richie's hair catches fire from birthday cake candles: Video

Nicole Richie had a fiery 40th birthday.

On Sept. 21, the former "Simple Life" star celebrated her birthday, but things went awry after a few strands of her hair caught on fire as she attempted to blow out the candles on her birthday cake, a cake that showed her a child.

"Well… so far 40 is [fire emoji]," she captioned a video of the incident.

In the smoldering video, Nicole doesn't seem to initially notice her fair aflame, as she smiles briefly. It also appears that she didn't notice the extent of the fire until the end of the video, in which she screams as flames quickly get larger.

Friends tried to pat the fire down as the video ended.

It's believed that the House of Harlow founder was largely unharmed during the incident, particularly given her husband's Instagram comment.

"That's hot," Joel Madden said, stealing a phrase from Nicole's pal Paris Hilton.

Benji Madden, meanwhile, commented, "Stay lit."

Many of Nicole's A-list pals also chimed in and couldn't hide their horror.

"My heart just dropped!!!!" Kelly Rowland said. Ellen Pompeo wished Nicole happy birthday and added, "I hope you're okay!" Amy Schumer exclaimed, "Oh my gawwwd," which was echoed by a chorus of other fans and celebrities.

Prior to the torching, Joel paid tribute to his wife, as she shared a series of loved up images.

"Happy Birthday Nicole," he wrote. "You've made love feel timeless I've forgotten how old we are."

Lasso love

'Ted Lasso' star's comedian girlfriend revealed

"Ted Lasso" star Brett Goldstein has scored himself a girlfriend.

According to Page Six, the actor who plays the lovable curmudgeon Roy Kent is dating British comedian Beth Rylance, and has been for a while. Brett confirmed the romance by thanking Beth by name in his Emmy speech on Sept. 19.

Beth also spoke of the relationship on Instagram, sharing an image while wearing a Roy Kent jersey.

"Okay, but why isn't anyone talking about *my* Emmy's look??? #LetsGoGreyhounds," she captioned the image.

In addition, she posted a video of Brett receiving his Emmy for outstanding supporting actor in a comedy series.

"I wanna cry so bad, but I don't think I can spare the moisture," she wrote.

She joked about her beau on Twitter before the ceremony, too.

"Today is the day that my boyfriend goes to the Emmy's [sic] as a Best Supporting Actor nominee and I am at home on my second load of laundry," she wrote. "Just to confirm, my boyfriend is Kenan Thompson off of SNL." Then, after Brett won, she tweeted, "My godmother has just text [sic] me to say congratulations on my boyfriend's Grammy award and this is why I love her."

Brett appeared on his lady love's Instagram in multiple videos and photos during the COVID lockdown. She referred to him as her boyfriend in April 2020, so the duo has been together for at least a year and a half.

Sponsorship loss

Controversial Bachelor Nation star loses sponsorship over Instagram drama

Brendan Morais is losing followers and sponsors.

The Sun reported that the controversial "Bachelor in Paradise" star has been dropped by NordicTrack due to his appearance on the ABC reality show.

The brand, a source told The Sun, is "no longer doing business" with the 31-year-old, and "any further business plans have been terminated." The insider added, "His behavior does not align with the brand's values."

Craig Sjodin/ABC

Back in August, the reality TV star posted a video in which he boasted about one of NordicTrack's studio cycles. He included a "paid partnership" tag.

Brendan, however, told Page Six that the end of the sponsorship isn't really news, claiming it was only supposed to be for a limited time.

"While neither myself nor my manager have been in contact with NordicTrack regarding this matter, my partnership was never supposed to be long term," he said. "I wish things had happened differently on the beach and I'm regretful about how I handled things with Natasha. With that being said, I completely understand companies need to consider reality TV edits in order to protect their brand, I just know there is more to me than what the audience gets to see for an hour once a week."

Brendan quickly fell into "villain" territory on "Bachelor in Paradise" when it was revealed that he and Pieper James were in a relationship before both went on the reality TV show. Still, despite dating Pieper, Brendan romanced fan favorite Natasha Parker on the show. When Pieper eventually appeared on the show, Brendan quickly steered his attention to her. Fans then accused him of trying to "gaslight" and lie to Natasha when she figured out he was (and had been) in an under-the-radar relationship with Pieper that began before cameras started rolling.

As if that weren't enough, Brendan and Pieper were also later caught on camera discussing their growing Instagram follower count, screen time and media coverage about themselves. Bachelor Nation soon felt that the duo were competing for sponsorships and Instagram followers, not love, which is the basis of the show. Almost overnight, Brendan lost 100,000 followers.

After the drama, several of Brendan's followers urged NordicTrack to cut ties with him.

Alicia Silverstone embracing 'adventure' after joining dating app

Three years after her divorce, Alicia Silverstone is going digital in her search for love.

The actress has joined the dating app Bumble.

Andrew H. Walker/Shutterstock

"I always thought it sounded so fascinating. It sounded like it opened up a lot of possibility for people and created hope," the "Clueless" star told People magazine, acknowledging that she's working in collaboration with the app. "And I've heard tons of beautiful stories from people. I think it's very much the norm now. And it makes sense. It's kind of like going to a bar, but it's more effective. It's an adventure."

For Alicia, meeting people the old fashioned way just doesn't seem to work anymore, so she's found the app to be beneficial.

"I just think it's a great way for people to meet," she said. "You know, I think that it's really nice that we have friends that can connect us. You can be set up by friends, you can be at a party and tell people, 'Hey, do you know anyone?' You can do things like that. I have experience where I'll go to an in-person event and no one's really engaged. They're sort of in their phones, and it's a bit discouraging."

The mom of one isn't totally ruling out meeting people organically, but by joining the app she's leaving all options on the table.

"Sometimes you do meet people out in the real world, and I certainly have, and it's been wonderful," she said, "but I think [Bumble] is just a really nice way for people to meet."

Regardless of how she meets someone, she notes that her behavior won't change on dates, which means no drinking. Why? Sometimes wine can lead to "sexy time."

"That's why I don't drink on dates. And if you don't like them suddenly you like them because you're drinking!" she said. "New rules: No alcohol until I already know I like you."

David Harbour shares diet tip after secretly losing weight

David Harbour has secretly slimmed down.

The "Stranger Things" actor revealed he lost weight for his role in the Netflix show, and he detailed how he went about shedding the pounds. It turns out it wasn't that complicated.

Andrew H. Walker/Shutterstock

"It's just not eating," he joked to Page Six. "It's amazing. You try to do all these different things, the protein and the this and that, and then you just stop eating and you lost weight."

He added, "Putting on weight is my favorite thing. I'm really good at it." The flip side, isn't as fun, though: "It's really s***** to take it off," he said.

Borja Benito Hojas/REX/Shutterstock

It appeared as though David's on-screen alter ego, Sheriff Jim Hopper, died at the end of the third season of "Stranger Things." However, it turns out that he's actually alive in a Russian prison. In order to convince fans that his character had been imprisoned, David lost weight.

"I think you'll see, nutritionally, it's not very good for me, mentally and nutritionally," he told Page Six.

What happens next is unclear. Fans will have to wait until 2022 to watch season 4.

"I can't wait, too. I hope they can wait a little longer. I hope we don't exhaust them with how long it's taking, but yeah, I can't wait too," David said. "It's the best season. It's just such an incredible season, the most epic thing we've ever done. It's huge. It spans different continents and also it still has that tremendous heart. It truly is an extraordinary season, and unfortunately with this d*** pandemic, we've had to wait and wait."

Love confession

Chelsea Handler 'in love,' reportedly dating fellow comedian

Chelsea Handler has publicly declared that she's "finally in love."

The announcement comes a few weeks after she was seen cozying up to fellow comedian Jo Koy at a Los Angeles Dodgers game. According to a new report by Page Six, the former "Chelsea Lately" host and Jo, 50, have been quietly dating.

Chelsea, 46, gave a glimpse into her love life on Instagram on Sept. 20, posting a serene image from Spain.

"Just sitting here in Mallorca thinking about how grateful I am to have so many people that I love in my life, to live the life I do and to be going on tour doing what I love," she wrote. "And that I'm finally in love, with the best kind of guy there is. There is hope for everyone! That kind of stuff."

On the heels of her post, many of Chelsea's A-list pals applauded her happiness. Kelsea Ballerini, Paris Hilton, Kate Beckinsale and more all commented with glee.

"Happy you're happy," Katie Couric wrote.

Chelsea and Jo have been linked for several weeks, but neither has commented on the budding romance. In fact, just two weeks ago, Joe told TMZ that he and Chelsea are "great friends."

"She's amazing," he said coyly. "I've known Chelsea for a long, long time. I mean, like, a long time, like years ago and we've always been great friends."

Health update

Wendy Williams' brother gives update on her health: 'She's fighting'

Wendy Williams is still hospitalized after reportedly undergoing a psychiatric evaluation, but she's "fighting," according to her brother.

In a YouTube video, Tommy Williams thanked the talk show host's fans for supporting her as she struggles with her mental health.

Gregory Pace/Shutterstock

"I do believe and have faith that Wendy is going to make it," he said. "It's not an easy fight. It's one that individuals always win. Sadly, come November, we are on the anniversary of my mother's passing, and it's not easy."

According to reports, Wendy was voluntarily admitted to a New York City hospital on Sept. 14 for a psychiatric evaluation. Around the same time, Wendy's team announced that the premiere date for her 13th season would be pushed back from Sept. 20 to Oct. 4. Wendy was "continuing her health evaluations" and had tested positive for a breakthrough case of COVID-19, a statement said.

Little else is known about her condition, but her brother deemed the hospitalization "necessary."

"We've been hit just like other families. You know it's not easy [but] you got to dig yourself out, you got to hold on to the memories and we have some good ones," she said. "This isn't easy but it's necessary. She's doing well. Stable. I've spoken with her, and we're hanging in there. She's hanging in there. We're praying. She's fighting."

It's somewhat interesting that Tommy is giving updates on Wendy's condition, as the two haven't always had the best relationship. Last year he even accused his sister of not going to their mother's funeral.

"What makes somebody not go to their mother's funeral? I don't understand not giving a salute to the one person who was always there and showed you support," Tommy said in the video at the time. "I don't get how you can just move on and act like nothing happened."

Wendy responded on her show, "You are my brother. Let's keep it that way. If you wanna talk on the Internet, then you talk about the things that you think you know about yourself. You don't wanna talk about the things I know about you. For sure."

Tommy later said their beef was "beyond" them.
