What a happy birthday it was for Malia Obama, who celebrated her big 18th at the White House's 2016 Fourth of July bash, and got serenaded by none other than her father, the President of the United States Barack Obama.
Yup, POTUS himself took the stage to sing a little "Happy Birthday" tune to his oldest daughter after making a small speech for his baby girl.
"And just because it's a job of a father to embarrass his daughters, I've got one last job," the soon-to-be finished with his second and final term President joked. "It just so happens that we celebrate our country's birthday on the same day that we celebrate my older daughter's birthday."
Malia, big sister to 15-year-old Sasha Obama, hopped on stage with her dad to give him a big hug after the birthday shout out.
And, that wasn't the only major performance of the night. Earlier, Kendrick Lamar and Janelle Monae got the party started with performances in the White House East Room, according to People.
Sounds like a pretty awesome milestone birthday to us!
Malia, who has been in the White House since she was 10 years old, plans to take some time off before attending college.
"The President and Mrs. Obama announced today that their daughter Malia will attend Harvard University in the fall of 2017 as a member of the Class of 2021," the White House released a statement in May. "Malia will take a gap year before beginning school."
Happy birthday, Malia!
