If Mayim Bialik would have just kept her mouth closed 24 years ago she might still be friends with Neil Patrick Harris.
The "Jeopardy!" host spoke with James Corden this week about her dislike of musicals, and how that very thing caused her once-tight friendship with NPH to dissolve.

While on "The Late Late Show," Mayim recalled seeing "Rent" in 1997 when the "How I Met Your Mother" actor starred in the musical.
"This is a terrible story," she said. "I went to see 'Rent.' I mean, this was a long time ago. I was a teenager, and it wasn't my thing. But when your friend is in the play and then everybody is clapping at the end, and you say to your boyfriend next to you, 'I don't want to stand for this.'"
Little did Mayim realize was that Neil was looking right at her when this happened.
"Everybody loves 'Rent' and Neil Patrick Harris was in it. We were teenagers. It was right after he'd finished 'Doogie Howser' and Neil was fantastic, he's amazing," she said. "But I just wasn't into the [idea of], 'Let's give a standing ovation.' It wasn't my thing. But that's the time that you don't say it out loud, because Neil was reading my lips."

After the musical, the "Call Me Kat" went backstage to see her then-friend.
"He said, I kid you not, 'Why did you say you weren't going to stand up?'" she recalled. "He read my lips. I did not have a good answer. It was terrible. It was bad."
The two didn't speak for a long time afterward.
"He says that he forgave me and he sent me flowers when he heard that I'm still carrying this terrible [guilt] — I mean, I felt terrible," Mayim continued. "It just wasn't my thing."
