To say that it's been a whirlwind of a week for these two is probably understating it, but RiRi and Drake are now forever inked on her skin.
On Thursday, it was revealed that the "Needed Me" singer got a tattoo on her ankle of a small camouflage shark, which not so coincidentally resembles the plush toy that Drake gave her during an aquarium date in August in his hometown of Toronto.
"This is a night for us all to be thankful for what you have done for us!" Drake captioned a photo that shows the shark, which he posted on Sunday. "You have affected so many of our lives in the best way possible. Tonight we celebrate you! @badgalriri."
"Camo shark for my dear friend @badgalriri," celeb tattoo artist Keith "Bang Bang" McCurdy wrote in showing off the tattoo. On Wednesday after the ink, he teased that RiRi was getting work done, showing a video of her lacing up her sandal, but with the shark covered.
The tattoo, which TMZ says she got after Drake's concert Wednesday in Miami, also came after the two kissed on stage during that concert, which was a few days after the "Hotline Bling" rapper publicly professed his love to RiRi in presenting her with the Video Vanguard Award at the MTV VMAs on Sunday.
"She's someone I've been in love with since I was 22 years old," he gushed. "She's one of my best friends in the world."
Before the awards show, Drake even took out a billboard in Los Angeles to congratulate his love on the award.
"Congratulations to Rihanna from Drake and everyone at OVO," the billboard said (OVO stands for October's Very Own, which is Drake's Canadian record label.)
The two seemed destined for each other. Interestingly, on Thursday a source told Page Six that Drake was actually the one holding out on her. "She's always been into him. It's him, not her, who has been backing off the relationship," the source said.
At this point, there's really nothing left but a proposal.
