In terms of hair, stars strayed from the stiff updos and left the casual beachy waves at home (except for Kristen Wiig). But overall, the top tress trends revolved around big -- and bigger -- hair.
Updos were kept simple -- just check out the giant bun on Shailene Woodley (Jennifer Lopez and Emma Stone worked similar styles).
Donning the most romantic style of the evening: Stacy Keibler, Maya Rudolph and Kelly Osbourne, who all worked side-swept, over-the-shoulder locks with a deep side part.
As for makeup, most celebs stepped out with softer makeup than when compared to the past years of heavy-duty, smoky eye looks. And while rosy pink lipstick and taupe shadows are gorgeous, these bold trends naturally stood out.
Following suit with what Deborah Lippmann told Us Weekly back in September that "celebrities don't want their nails to take away from the trophy they could be holding," we saw a lot of neutral hues and bare-looking nails. But just as many stars went toward the opposite end of the color spectrum with glossy, dark polishes.
Celebs like Sandra Bullock, Sherri Shepherd and Natalie Portman opted for nearly-black, midnight hues. Meanwhile Kristen Wiig and Octavia Spencer went for straight-up, jet-black manis.
