While attending
Kris Jenner's birthday bash, Meghan Markle and
Prince Harry posed for photos with Kim Kardashian. However, because the event fell on Remembrance Day in the U.K., the couple requested the mogul take the shots down.

Kim Kardashian opened up about the situation during an episode of the "
Khloé in Wonderland" podcast. "Mom [
Kris Jenner] and Meghan [Markle] have been friends for some years now and they have a really sweet relationship," she told
Khloé Kardashian. "We took a photo and then I think we were all going through them. We're all on, you know, communicating about like what we're going to post. We're never ones to post without permission — we are like it's not who we are. We're very respectful. Yeah, like we have photo we have the craziest, funniest photos from that night, you know, but we were posting just like fun photos and so dignified photo."

Despite Kim Kardashian initially getting the green light to share the images, Meghan Markle and
Prince Harry's camp had a change of heart. "We were we were told that it was totally cool to post and then after it was posted, I think they realized it was Remembrance Day and they didn't want to be seen at a party even though it's already up," the SKIMs founder said. "And then it was taken down. And then I think they realized, like, this was so silly!"

The internet applauded Kim Kardashian for speaking out about the situation. "The Kardashians know they can say anything, and Meghan [Markle] can't give her version of events because of the power dynamics. Kim essentially silenced her," one X user wrote.
"Imagine burning bridges with the Kardashians. [laughing face emoji] There won't be anyone else who will take Meghan's side," a second person said.
"Meg thought the Kardashians were going to stay quiet. Big mistake. This girl won't allow someone to trash them. Especially, when they are right!" a third chimed in.
"Big time. I love to see it. I don't like The Kardashians, but this was a masterpiece in silencing," a fourth penned.
