In the many files released by the U.S. Department of Justice related to
Jeffrey Epstein, an email between Ghislaine Maxwell and allegedly Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor showed the criminal called the former Duke of York by a pet name. In the correspondence from Maxwell to Andrew dated March 31, 2002, she wrote via
Daily Express, "Sweet pea — sorry you had to rush home, and also under such sad circumstances."

The message from Ghislaine Maxwell — who is serving a 20-year sentence for helping Jeffrey Epstein traffic underage girls — to Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor referenced the March 2002 death of The Queen Mother. "However much the passing was to be expected in one so old, it does not make it any less sad," she wrote. "She was wonderful, and I am happy that I managed to meet her and speak with her. We shall reschedule. Love you. Gx."

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor sent back a glowing response to Ghislaine Maxwell's condolences the following day. "Got your message this morning. Sorry to have missed you yesterday. I will ring later today to chat. A xxx," he wrote.

King Charles III stripped Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor of his titles and evicted him from Royal Lodge over his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein and his partner Ghislaine Maxwell. The 65-year-old was also accused of misconduct by Virginia Giuffre — who claimed she was trafficked to Andrew by Epstein when she was underage. The disgraced royal has continuously denied the allegations.
