Queen Camilla visited Maggie's Cheltenham Centre alongside Spice Girl Geri Halliwell-Horner. However, when greeting Her Majesty, Halliwell-Horner failed to curtsy to Camilla.
Despite the informality of their interaction, the royal described the pop star and their time together as "lovely."

Grant Harrold discussed the faux pas.
"Officially, this is a massive [breach] of royal protocol," Harrold said on behalf of
OLBG.

"When meeting a royal, you should curtsy," Grant Harrold continued. "If you're friends or know each other well, the royal may come forward for a kiss or a hug — but it should be entirely led by the royal. But that didn't really happen here."

Queen Camilla's response to Geri Halliwell-Horner highlighted how different she is from her late mother-in-law, Queen Elizabeth II.
"But the fact that Camilla went along with it is very telling. It would have been very different if it was Queen Elizabeth," Grant Harrold noted.
