Pop star Anastacia is glad she has undergone a drastic double mastectomy as she no longer fears a return of breast cancer.
The singer, who won a previous battle against the disease in 2003, was forced to axe her European tour after doctors told her in January that the illness had returned.
The "I'm Outta Love" hitmaker revealed she is "in the final stages of recovery" earlier this week after undergoing the radical surgery, and now she has spoken out about her latest health battle.
In an interview with U.K. TV host Lorraine Kelly, Anastacia says, "Any journey down that road is not easy for a female ... but you just got to do what you've got to do and I'm breast cancer free forever .. that at least has been worth the struggle."

I advocate early detection, I advocate raising awareness ... I think the more you talk, the more negativity that ever surrounds the word cancer just goes straight away."
