Eddie Cibrian is unemployed -- again.

NBC has canceled The Playboy Club after just three episodes, TV Line reports. The network cited low-ratings for dropping the sexy 1963 drama from its fall lineup. The program also starred actresses Amber Heard, Jenna Dewan and Naturi Naughton.

Rock Center With Brian Williams will take over The Playboy Club's 10 p.m. time slot beginning October 31. NBC has yet to announce which program will air in the show's place during the interim.

The Playboy Club premiered on September 19 with just over 5 million viewers; it dipped to 3.97 million in its second week and 3.4 million in its third.

Though the series is the first cancellation of the fall 2011 lineup, NBC announced Tuesday that two of its new comedies, Whitney and Up All Night, have been picked up for full seasons.
