As she prepares to return to the stage after a year-long hiatus, Celine Dion is opening up about what her family, specifically her husband, has endured since she left the Las Vegas stage to care for him.
The interview with ABC News' Deborah Roberts was equal parts informative and emotion.
"He can't use his mouth, he can't eat, so I feed him," Celine revealed, fighting back tears. "He's got a feeding tube. I have to feed him three times a day."

And although the family is certainly wealthy enough to hire a caretaker, Celine decided to take on the role herself.
"I do this myself," she said of the feedings. "And so I feed my husband and I feed my kids."

Celine, 46, and her husband, Rene Angélil, 73, have three sons together — 14-year-old René-Charles and 4 1/2-year-old twins, Nelson and Eddy.

Last year Celine abruptly took an indefinite leave from her popular Las Vegas show to be with her husband as he battled throat cancer.
"I want to devote every ounce of my strength and energy to my husband's healing, and to do so, it's important for me to dedicate this time to him and to our children," she said at the time. "I also want to apologize to all my fans everywhere, for inconveniencing them, and I thank them so much for their love and support."
It was announced last week that Dion will be resuming her residence at Caesars Palace. As for how things are going health-wise with Rene, Celine said, "We are taking life one day at a time, [but] we are choosing to live."
