Talk about finding treasure in your grandparents' dusty old attic.
A homemade video purportedly showing legendary actress Marilyn Monroe smoking pot at a private home in New Jersey has surfaced after being found in an attic a half-century after it was filmed.

According to a Reuters report, collector Keya Morgan came across information on the film during research for his Marilyn Monroe documentary and was able to track down the original owner, who had been storing it in an attic for the past three years.
Morgan bought the film from its private owner for $275,000 and is planning on offering the copyright of the film for auction on eBay later in the week.
In the film, Monroe looks to be having a good time, relaxing with friends at a gathering that Morgan dates to 1958 or 1959.
"This is the late '50s so she is already very famous, but this is a personal side of her we've never seen before. People have never seen her in such a relaxed pose," Morgan told Reuters.
She is seen passing and taking a puff from what is believed to be a marijuana cigarette. Later she playfully sniffs her own armpit and laughs.

The anonymous person who made the film confirmed that the cigarette was marijuana, telling Reuters: "I got it (the pot). It was mine. It was just passed around."
Apparently sniffing armpits and smoking pot is how to party like it's 1959!
