Lindsay Lohan's recovery process, both personal and professional, continues apace, this time with the addition of a new boyfriend. The rumor mill is a-cranking with talk that the six-time rehab grad is spending quality time with an erstwhile reality star.
The New York Post says Matt Nordgren, best known for appearing on the Bravo dating show "Most Eligible Dallas" and attempting to woo the C-list likes of Taylor Armstrong, Audrina Patridge and former "Bachelorette" star Vienna Giardi, has been blabbing that he's dating Lohan.
The former football player (he briefly played for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2006) turned Texas businessman claims he met the sometime actress about seven years through mutual friends, and they've stayed in contact.
"We've hung out," he downplays to the paper. "But I have been a friend trying to support her for many years now."
Chimes in a source to E! News, "I'm not surprised about Lindsay and Matt. They have a history of hooking up during New York Fashion Week. Last year, they had a wild night of partying and hooking up. So it's not shocking they're hanging out again this time of year."
But does that mean they're hot and heavy? "Is he her boyfriend? No. He lives in Dallas, explains the spy. "But they see each other when he's in N.Y. or L.A."
Adds an Us insider, "He's older, a successful businessman, and he has been a great friend to her. He's also a Christian and won't drink around her. He's trying to keep her sober and on the straight and narrow. He's really good for her."
Nordgren seems to stick to the company line when asked how Lindsay's Oprah-supervised, Dina-dinged recovery is going: "She's completely sober for months now. She's in a great place, she's thinking clear and working hard and meeting with all the right people."
