And it's on. After weeks of cozy, under-the-radar outings all over Europe, Rihanna and Drake are apparently hitching a ride on the bumpy road to love. "Multiple" insiders tell TMZ that the two are "officially exclusive," and they've gone from "casually hooking up to seriously dating."
Or, as the kids these days call it, they're going steady.
Seems they want to give their long-simmering relationship a "serious shot," and to that end, RiRi has spent every night with Drake since she joined up with his European tour a few weeks ago.
They were most recently spied on a bowling date in Manchester, England, an appearance that followed outings in London, Brussels, Amsterdam and Paris, where Rihanna joined Drake onstage for a performance of "Take Care."
"He's in the best mood he's been in a long time," relays a source.
So, why did Rihanna decide to dive into coupledom with Drake five years after they were first linked? Seems "he treats her better than anyone she's ever been with." She's now committed to spending as much time with him "as her schedule will allow."
You'll recall that back in 2012, Drizzy got into a bottle-flinging brawl with Rihanna's repeat ex-boyfriend, Chris Brown, who's currently cooling his heels in jail after getting arrested on a probation violation stemming from his 2009 assault on the chanteuse.
We can only presume that Chris will greet the news of RiRi's ostensible relationship upgrade with the Zen-like calm he's known for.
"She's the ultimate fantasy," Drake told Rolling Stone in February. "I mean, I think about it. Like, 'Man, that would be good.' We have fun together, she's cool and s---. But we're just friends. She's my dog for life."
