California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger says his administration is prepared to assist earthquake-ravaged Chile and is keeping track of developments regarding the related tsunami advisory.
"Maria and I send our thoughts and prayers to the people of Chile as they begin to respond to this disaster," Schwarzenegger tells ET. "The state of California has a very special relationship with Chile because of the Chilean-California Partnership, and my administration has already been in contact with President Bachelet's government to assure her we are ready to assist in any way."
The former big-screen action hero has directed his California Emergency Management Agency to keep working with federal, state and local officials to be ready to provide assistance to Chile -- and to help ensure that coastal communities in California have the latest information to respond to the Tsunami Advisory issued by the West Coast and Alaska Tsunami Warning Center this morning.California Hall of Fame Inductees Tee Off on Tiger Woods
