Hayden Panettiere likes to be sassy!
In ABC's new country music drama, Nashville, Connie Britton stars as Rayna James, a fading country queen. Bitchy Juliette Barnes (Panettiere) is gunning for Rayna's crown, her guitarist and her songwriter (whom she seduces!).
"I love with Juliette that I don't have to choose. I'm not stuck in playing one specific note all the time," Panettiere, 23, explains in a behind-the-scenes interview video. "She's got her moments where she is oh my gosh sassy, and snarky and definitely the you know what. And it's fun. It can be really, really fun to play!"
According to Entertainment Weekly, the show premiered Wednesday to solid ratings of 9 million viewers.
After the show aired, Panettiere tweeted, "Thank you all for watching N?ashville? ?ABC? I hope it finds a place in your heart as it has mine . . . ok I just hope you like it! HA! Xoxo."
