Glee's got nothing on Jessica Simpson! The expectant mother couldn't resist sharing the "ultimate" throwback video with her fans on Thursday, May 30: a clip of herself in a high school production of A Chorus Line.
In the impressive video, a younger Simpson dons a bright red leotard, high-waisted black pants, and a thick black belt with an oversized silver buckle to accentuate her waist. She performs the number for "The Mirror and the Music" in the clip, hitting her marks with jazz hands and pointed toes.
At one point, the now-32-year-old performer even does a backbend and rolls her hips with her back to the audience, all while belting the lyrics to the iconic song.
Simpson never completed her time at J.J. Pearce High School in Richardson, Texas, after catching the eye of Columbia Records' executive producer Tommy Mottola, though the singer did go on to get her GED.
Now, however, the Fashion Star mentor's main job is being a great mom to daughter Maxwell, 12 months, and her soon-to-be second child, a baby boy.
"Jessica's a great mom. It's kind of crazy to see her because she's further along than I am and she's chasing around Maxwell, who just turned 1 and is about to walk any day now," her pregnant best friend, CaCee Cobb, told Us Weekly earlier this month. "She's got me beat. Just watching her, I'm in awe because she makes it look easy -- but it's not, I can tell!"
