Pretty boys cry, too!
Kate Winslet was celebrated as a heroine for rescuing Richard Branson's mother during a devastating fire on his private Necker Island getaway in August, carrying elderly Eve Branson to safety from a burning building.
But at least one person isn't giving the Oscar winner a standing ovation for her conduct on the Caribbean isle: Louis Dowler, the male model whom Winslet swiftly dumped for another man, Branson's nephew Ned Rocknroll, during the course of their stay.
"I don't think Kate behaved well and it is still very raw for me," Dowler, 35, tells the Daily Mail, breaking his silence over the painful split.
Shortly after that eventful island trip, Winslet stepped out with Ned Rocknroll (who legally changed his nam from Abel Smith several years ago) and her kids.
"I was in love with her and you can't switch that off overnight," Dowler admits. "I'm not sure Kate treated me well."
Rocknoll also broke up with his own love, wife Eliza Pearson, after falling for Winslet, 35.
The Mildred Pierce actress first stepped out with the stunning British model in August 2010, five months after her split from director Sam Mendes. (Winslet and the American Beauty helmer have a 7-year-old son, Joe, and she has a daughter Mia, 11, with ex-husband Jim Threapleton.)
Dowler admitted he's still trying to figure out what went wrong. "Kate came home with me to Cornwall and we just hung out together," he said wistfully. "She met my parents and family…I thought we were inseparable. I certainly haven't found anyone else since."
