Actor Larry Drake is dead. He was 66.
A rep for the actor confirmed to Gossip Cop the former "L.A Law" star died on Thursday. Drake was found at his Hollywood home by a friend. He was pronounced dead at his house after paramedics arrived on the scene. The spokesperson noted that the actor did not suffer from any known illnesses or issues.
The actor was best known for playing Benny on the hit NBC legal drama "L.A. Law" for seven seasons. During his run on the show, he was nominated for numerous awards for his role as a mentally-challenged office worker. He was nominated for three Emmy Awards and won twice, in 1988 and 1989. Additionally, he was nominated for three Golden Globe Awards for the part.
The actor, who dropped out of the spotlight in recent years, also starred on the big screen in Darkman in 1990 and its sequel in 1995. He went on to star in a slew of smaller roles later in his career, with appearances on "Star Trek: Voyager," "Stargate: SG1," "Six Feet Under," "7th Heaven," and "Boston Legal." Drake also lent his voice skills to multiple Star Wars video games over the years. Gossip Cop offers condolences to Drake's family and loved ones.
