Ha! Inspired by the popular website Awkward Family Photos, Maya Rudolph and Danny McBride recreated some of the site's most hysterical pictures for GQ magazine's June issue -- and wow, did they get in character, sporting some hilarious hair 'dos and outdated clothing styles.
In one picture, the former SNL star is seen posing with her fake family while her son wears a clown mask. In another, McBride is seen inappropriately posing with the family dog.
According to the men's magazine, the comedy pair posed with six fake families during the shoot -- and the Up All Night actress says she was pleasantly surprised just how equally funny their fake children were.
During one picture with Santa, McBride says, "We asked one of the girls in the Christmas picture if she still believed in Santa Claus."
Rudolph shares what happened next: "Everyone's facing the camera, and she just whips around and is like, 'Do you still believe in God?' Didn't miss a beat."
When they're not busy rocking some '80s hair, both comedians are usually hard at work. McBride's upcoming movie, This Is The End, comes out June 12, while Rudolph's The Way, Way Back will hit theaters July 5. Rudolph, 40, and her long-term partner, director Paul Thomas Anderson, are currently expecting their fourth child, due this summer.
