Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin is joining the team at the Fox News Channel.

Palin has signed a multi-year deal to appear regularly on the channel as a contributor. In addition to providing political commentary for the network, her job description also includes hosting FNC's "Real American Stories."

The former Vice Presidential hopeful reacted to the announcement, saying, "I am thrilled to be joining the great talent and management team at FOX News. It's wonderful to be part of a place that so values fair and balanced news."
