The power of the tweens reigned supreme last week when one of my fave "American Idol" contestants, Lilly Scott, was -- in Ryan Seacrest speak -- out. And if you're an Idol devotee, then chances are you already know who the front-runner is (yes, we're talking about you, Crystal Bowersox).

As any AI fan knows, win or lose, each season there is always one contestant who goes on to have a bona fide career beyond "Idol." That's the great thing about the show. Much like Chris Daughtry or Adam Lambert, you don't have to actually win Idol to be a winner. (Besides, does anyone remember Taylor Hicks or Kris Allen? Exactly.)

That's why we think Siobhan Magnus, a Top 12 finalist, might just be talented and kooky enough to succeed with or without the "Idol" title. I refuse to call them all "great" (Ellen DeGeneres has the market corner on that word), but Magnus has that quirky quality -- a certain "je ne sais pas" -- which makes her stand out among her peers. Watch out Clay Aiken!

Look, we get where Simon Cowell is coming from. Yes, Siobhan is strange. She totally freaks me out when she talks, but that girl can SING. Despite Simon's unfavorable response to her rendition of The Animals' "House of the Rising Sun," we thought she rocked it. And so far, America seems to agree. Couldn't you just see her as the female lead singer of an all-dude band. (Think: Paramore or the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.) As for Simon, we're hoping that finding true love will lighten him up a bit in the coming episodes.

I know judge Kara DioGuardi is gaga over Goldie Locks, um, Casey James. But he's just another pretty face. Personally, I agree with Simon's prediction that the ladies will prevail this season. And though she may not go home with the grand title, I'm certain Siobhan has a sweet recording contract headed her way no matter what.
