The Hollywood Reporter -- The 2014 Writers Guild Awards will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2014, at simultaneous ceremonies in Los Angeles and New York, the Writers Guild of America, West (WGAW) and the Writers Guild of America, East (WGAE) announced Thursday.
STORY: WGA Awards 2013: 'Zero Dark Thirty,' 'Argo' Take Top Screenplay Honors The WGAW ceremony will once again be held at the JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. LIVE, and the WGAE ceremony will be held at the Edison Ballroom. The Writers Guild Awards honor outstanding writing in film, television, new media, videogames, news, radio and promotional writing, and graphic animation.
At the 2013 awards ceremony in February, Mark Boal's Zero Dark Thirty and Chris Terrio's Argo won top honors. HBO's Girls was hailed as the best new series of the year, while the awards for drama and comedy series went to the writing staffs of, respectively, AMC's Breaking Bad and FX's Louie.
