When "The Real" co-host Adrienne Bailon met gospel singer Israel Houghton, it was love at first bite.
While dating, they often dined on good food, and although it made them and their belly's happy, their waistlines suffered. After Israel popped the question, they both decided it was time to trim down.
Adrienne said she lost 22 pounds before her recent Paris wedding by doing 45 minutes of cardio twice a day and by cutting out carbs and alcohol.
"I love the way my clothes are fitting so much that I don't want to stop," she told People magazine, while admitting that she increased her gym sessions in the weeks leading up to her Paris nuptials. "I want this to become a lifestyle. I'm enjoying working out. I enjoy the way it makes me feel."
Her new husband has been hitting the gym hard as well. In fact, he's lost more than her.
"Israel has lost 25 pounds, so he's beating me, but I'm competitive -- so wait for it!," she said.
The two both looked amazing on Nov. 11 as they said I do in Paris before about 70 guests.
"I genuinely just feel so blessed and grateful. I've honestly never been happier in my entire life," she told that magazine. "I've never felt what I feel right now. I can't even describe what it is, but it's such a peace mixed with total excitement."
Granted, the couple was allowed to take a day off the diet on their wedding day, and they did! On Nov. 15, Adrienne shared a video from the wedding reception of her and her man feeding each other red velvet wedding cake. While Israel had no trouble conjuring up the perfect bite for his lady, the same couldn't be said for her.
"How sweet it is to be loved by you!" she captioned the funny video. "When your husband feeds you the perfect icing to cake ratio, bite of deliciousness, thanks to @sweetnessandcook! But, when you attempt to do the same in return it's a struggle! LOL. I'm a perfectionist & I didn't wanna feed him a whole fork full of fondant! Ha."
