KP's mama, Mary Hudson, has said that her songstress daughter, who just triumphed with a rousing performance at the DNC earlier this week, is trying to take the high road and not diss on T-Swizz (basically now that the whole world thinks she's a liar). Mary told Grazia magazine, "Katy released 'Rise'. It says, 'My feet have been put to the fire but I will rise.' That's what she's about right now."
While Mary is also trying to "rise" above the drama -- Katy's dad Keith Hudson says the war is not done.
Keith told the British magazine: "You know it ain't over yet."
Ooh! Keith Hudson is so sassy!
Katy got mixed up in the old drama yet again after Taylor's recent break up with Scottish DJ Calvin Harris, and her subsequent whirlwind romance with "Night Manager" actor Tom Hiddleston.
The EDM superstar, who was clearly upset about Taylor's moving on so quickly, wrote a series of tweets aimed at the Grammy girl and her team, after they revealed that Taylor had secretly written his hit song "This Is What You Came For." Calvin took to Twitter to fire back with a series of tweets that included, "Hurtful to me at this point that her and her team would go so far out of their way to try and make ME look bad at this stage though." He also wrote, "I figure if you're happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do." Then he added, "I know you're off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy ETC but I'm not that guy, sorry. I won't allow it."
Katy seemed to hop on the anti-Taylor bandwagon and back Calvin up by responding with an indirect response, which was to post an animated gif on Twitter of Hillary Clinton with a knowing look and to retweet a message she wrote in May 2015 which said, "Time, the ultimate truth teller."
The brunette has been not-so secretly feuding with Taylor since 2012 when the "Shake It Off" singer stole the "Roar" singer's back-up dancers. Taylor reportedly wrote "Bad Blood" about the feud and has alluded to Katy being a "straight-up enemy" that tried to "sabotage an entire tour."
We'd say it looks like Katy's getting the last laugh now -- but it looks like the last laugh ain't here yet!
