According to leaked
emails from Jeffrey Epstein to his attorney
Paul Tweed, he claimed Sarah Ferguson took Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie to interact with him after his 13-month stint in jail. "She was the first to celebrate my release with her two daughters in tow," he wrote. "She visited me with a policeman sitting at my front desk. She has asked for help with her charities." The former Duchess of York denied she visited the late criminal with her daughters.

In alleged emails from Sarah Ferguson to Jeffrey Epstein, she raved about their "loyal" friendship. "I wanted you to know with certainty that many things said in the press about you that were attributed to me were either a totally malicious fabrication or an outrageous exaggeration," she
reportedly wrote in the 2011 message. When the alleged correspondence was made public, the mother of two was dropped by numerous charities.

Prince Andrew relinquished his titles due to his ties to Jeffrey Epstein. "In discussion with
King Charles III and my immediate and wider family, we have concluded the continued accusations about me distract from the work of His Majesty and the royal family," he said in a statement. "I have decided, as I always have, to put my duty to my family and country first. I stand by my decision five years ago to stand back from public life. With His Majesty's agreement, we feel I must now go a step further. I will therefore no longer use my title or the honors which have been conferred upon me. As I have said previously, I vigorously deny the accusations against me."

The scandals surrounding Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew are likely to have a profound impact on Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. "The Yorks are an extremely close-knit family. The disgrace of Sarah Ferguson has followed that of Prince Andrew, who has become an international pariah," royal expert
Richard Fitzwilliams said. "Princess Beatrice and
Princess Eugenie will find their parents'
predicament devastating."
