The late Virginia Giuffre claimed in her posthumously released memoir,
Nobody's Girl, that Prince Andrew compared her to his daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, when they met. "My daughters are just a little younger than you," he allegedly told her after they played a game in which he tried to guess her age.

Elsewhere in her memoir, Virginia Giuffre alleged that Jeffrey Epstein forced her to be intimate with Prince Andrew three times when she was 17. "I've thought a lot about how he behaved. He was friendly enough but still entitled — as if he believed [intimacy] with me was his birthright," she said of the former Duke of York.

Virginia Giuffre sued Prince Andrew over the alleged misconduct. The parties settled in February 2022, closing the case without the former Duke of York admitting guilt. In the years that followed, Andrew was forced to retire from his official royal duties. He eventually gave up his titles.
