"What kind of man files for divorce from his pregnant wife?"

That's what one insider close to Keshia Knight Pulliam and Ed Hartwell was left asking after the former NFL star suddenly filed for divorce from the "Cosby Show" alum after seven months of marriage, according to TMZ.

Ed's filing cites irreconcilable differences, but he told TheYBF earlier this week, "Right now, the only thing I want is a paternity test for the baby," indicating he felt she'd been unfaithful.

But sources tell TMZ Keshia maintains she's been faithful to her husband and she doesn't understand why he would think she has not been. As such, she "has no objection" to taking a paternity test, according to the website's sources.

An insider tells People, meanwhile, that Ed finds the timing of Keshia's pregnancy -- which she announced last week -- strange given that they've been "in a very spot in their relationship."

"It's just that he had told her he wanted to wait before having a baby and things got really bad between them and then she pops up pregnant," says the source.

That could be why Ed's divorce filing specifies that one of the couple's irreconcilable differences involves "constant disagreements on life changing decisions that couples typically make together."

Keshia, whose parents have been married for 40 years, reportedly sees the rough patch as something couples simply go through and need to work out when they're committed to a marriage, but Ed seems to think their problems are more serious.

While the divorce filing seems sudden, it's also kind of par for the course in a relationship that moved from dating to a surprise wedding in just four months.

Ed, who previously appeared opposite his ex, Lisa Wu, on the first two seasons of "Real Housewives of Atlanta," tied the knot with Keshia in their living room on New Year's Day, less than 24 hours after they announced their engagement.

Keshia has said on her "KandidlyKeshia" podcast that none of their friends or family knew they were coming to a wedding when they were invited over, indicating the whole thing may have been relatively last minute.

"It was my dream," she said.

When TheYBF first reported Ed had filed for divorce, the website noted those close to the ex-athlete believed he struggled with impulsivity issues that had played out in other areas of his life. He was also said to have felt Keshia tended to "act spoiled."

The estranged couple's daughter-to-be is due in January.
