Renee Zellweger's rocker boyfriend, Doyle Bramhall, is in the middle of a nasty child support battle with his ex-wife, and the actress has now been roped into the case, much to her chagrin.
Renee has gone to court to plead with a judge to leave her out of it.
Doyle and the "Jerry Maguire" star have been dating since 2012.
Recently, Doyle's ex Susannah Melvoin requested that Renee's income, living expenses and business deals be admitted as evidence in the case, according to a report on TMZ. The reason, the site speculates, is to show that Doyle lives lavishly.
The actress, though, filed her own documents, saying her personal and professional life have nothing to do with her man's child support case. Renee went before a judge to proclaim the same thing, coming face-to-face in court with with Susannah, who once collaborated with the late Prince.
The site said there were "no fireworks" in the courtroom.
Doyle, who has worked with the likes of Eric Clapton and Roger Waters, and Susannah were married from 1997 to 2010. They have two daughters together.
In 2014, Renee was again dragged into a battle between the former couple when Susannah claimed she was struggling for money to care for their daughters. Susannah's lawyer at the time said both Doyle and Susannah were $300,000 in debt and that Susannah was desperate for financial aid to care for her daughters. She said he continued to go on glamorous vacations with Renee, despite his finances being "completely precarious." In other words, the actress was footing the bill, the ex claimed.
In August, Renee spoke about her relationship with Vogue UK, saying, "There is a familiarity between us, that sense you have when you're with someone and you know you are home."
