"It's going to be a royal occasion, but everyone is dreading the thought of seeing Andrew there," a source told
Daily Express.

"Beatrice has, of course, invited her father. But things are not warm between them. However, she's worried about him," the insider continued of their daughter's child. "He's going through a low ebb with his mental health, and she recognizes that he dotes on his grandchildren and it would be cruel to deprive him of the chance to attend the christening."

Ex-Prince Andrew's friendship with Jeffrey Epstein put an end to his royal career, but he is still a member of the royal family despite no longer working for them.
Due to the ongoing scandal surrounding the ex-duke, the source hinted at the royal family walking on eggshells around him.
"Some careful conversations and diplomacy with King Charles will have taken place to get to this stage," the source shared.

Virginia Giuffre previously accused Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor of assault, which was also brought up in her posthumous memoir. After the book was published, King Charles III stripped his brother of his titles, royal estate and more.
"His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence," Buckingham Palace said in a statement. "Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease and he will move to alternative private accommodation. These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him."
