She led fans to it with an Instagram post that read: "Click the link in my bio to go to Beyonce.com and turn our anger into action by contacting our legislators, councilmen and women. Talk about two powerhouses colliding! On June 26, 2016, Beyonce and Kendrick Lamar came together to open the BET Awards with a fiery surprise performance of "Freedom" from her "Lemonade" album.
All praise Queen Bey! In addition to taking home an impressive six Moonmen at the MTV Video Music Awards on Aug. 28, 2016, Beyonce stunned the crowd with a killer "Lemonade" medley performance. The most show-stopping moment of them all happened when she came out with a baseball bat during "Hold Up" and swung it into the lens of the video camera. She sure ain't sorry!
The "Hold Up" singer was a no-show at the 2016 Emmys despite being nominated for four awards for "Lemonade." Beyonce was expected to attend and pulled out last minute, reportedly due to illness. Unfortunately, Bey didn't win any awards that night.
Beyonce took on Nashville at the CMA Awards on Nov. 2, 2016! In an unexpected collaboration, she joined the Dixie Chicks onstage for a killer rendition of "Daddy Lessons" from "Lemonade."
Jay Z, Big Sean and Chance the Rapper were scheduled to perform in Cleveland for a Get Out the Vote event on Nov. 4, 2016, but nobody knew Beyonce was going to show up too! Bey displayed her support for Hillary Clinton just days before the presidential election by performing with a crew of backup dancers in blue pantsuits.
Beyonce shocked the world on Feb. 1, 2017, when she casually posted an incredible photograph on Instagram announcing she was pregnant with twins. In the picture, the "Formation" singer sits in front of a flower-embellished wreath and holds her expectant belly — all while wearing a sheer green veil, blue ruffled panties and a maroon bra. She captioned it, "We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes. – The Carters." A few weeks later, she covered up her growing bump as she stepped out in Beverly Hills.
Once again, Beyonce put on a majestic show — but this time, she did it while pregnant! And as expected, the Beyhive went wild! Paying tribute to women everywhere, Beyonce delivered a nine-minute performance with her pregnant belly on full display at the Grammy Awards on Feb. 12, 2017. Bey took the stage in a jewel-encrusted gown and gold headpiece to sing "Love Drought" and "Sandcastles" from "Lemonade."
Beyonce wore a spectacular red sequined Peter Dundas gown alongside hubby Jay Z at the 2017 Grammys where she took home the prize for Best Urban Contemporary Album for "Lemonade" and Best Music Video for "Formation." Though Adele won the Album of the Year Grammy for "25," the British star praised Bey and insisted the superstar should have taken home the coveted prize instead. "I can't possibly accept this award. And I'm very humbled and I'm very grateful and gracious. But my artist of my life is Beyonce," Adele gushed from the podium, "and this album to me, the 'Lemonade' album, was just so monumental, Beyonce, it was so monumental…"
Be still, our Destiny's Child-loving hearts! Beyonce, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams reunited at Solange Knowles' "Wine and Grind: Grammy Edition" afterparty on Feb. 12, 2017. Victorious Queen Bey changed into a white Grecian-style gown and cape before posing for this Destiny's Child reunion shot.
Though they didn't attend the 2017 Academy Awards ceremony, Beyonce and Jay Z enjoyed a night out at the Weinstein Company's pre-Oscars party in Los Angeles on Feb. 25, 2017. The power couple smiled for the cameras while Bey dazzled in a teal baby bump-hugging dress.
The awwww factor is real. Beyonce, Jay Z and daughter Blue Ivy Carter spent an evening together at the 66th NBA All-Star Game on Feb. 19, 2017. Bey rocked a kimono and distressed jeans with her bump while little Blue Ivy made headlines for wearing a $1,800 Gucci dress to the game.
