Bruno and Matt Lauer shared an emotional moment on this morning's Today Show.

After Lauer told Sacha Baron Cohen -- who appeared as his character, a flamboyant Austrian fashion designer -- the Austrian Minister to Great Britain has called for a boycott of the movie, Bruno broke down into tears.

"VAT?" he said in his faux-accent. "This is the first I'm hearing of this. This is a very private moment. Close up, please. That is just so Austrian: they build you, zhen they knock you down."

As the segment faded to dark, the crying comic -- who donned a silver jumpsuit -- told Lauer: "Hug me, I feel so lonely!"

The flick hits theaters tomorrow.
