Tracy Anderson understands why new moms across the country aren't too pleased with her right now.
The petite celebrity trainer -- whose client roster has included Madonna, Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Lopez -- told DuJour magazine's September issue that "A lot of women use pregnancy as an excuse to let their bodies go, and that's the worst thing," citing her own first pregnancy as an example. (Anderson, 37, says she gained 60 pounds in 1998 when she was pregnant with son Samuel, with ex-husband Eric Anderson). "I feel like I've lived an entire lifetime since then," Anderson explained of her commitment to staying fit throughout pregnancy number two.
"I am so mortified, it sounds so bad when it comes back like that," the fitness guru explained Wednesday on Good Morning America. "It's not what I meant. I've spent 14 years very focused on creating all of this original content, testing on women to make sure I can give [them] something that really works, so they can be their most empowered self."
Added Anderson, "So the last thing I would do is judge a woman, especially after children."
The Tracy Anderson Method founder welcomed her second child, a daughter Penelope, with husband Matt Mogol in May.
