Stop us if you've heard this before: Chrissy Teigen is upsetting the social media world.
Over the past weekend, the model and her husband, John Legend, decided to throw a party in honor of Netflix's "Squid Games," which they held at their home.
"Where do I even begin!! what an absolutely epic night. my dream came true of watching my friends fight to the death! dunk tank, musical chairs, hide and seek followed by a very riveting final game of pin the tail on the donkey," Chrissy captioned several images from the shenanigans. "@wifeoftheparty you truly are the best and have THE BEST team ever. Thank you thank you thank you!!"
Many of Chrissy's Instagram followers were less than thrilled, particularly given the premise of the show and the Hollywood couple's deep pockets.
"Squid Game," one person said, "is about people whose lives were so awful because of being poor that they'd rather play a game of literal life or death to escape going back to poverty." The commenter made sure to point out the couple held the soirée at their "mansion."
Another cringed, "Why do rich people always miss the whole entire point?"
"This is so beyond tone deaf as a millionaire to invite your rich friends over and reenact squid games which is rooted in the violence of capitalism," another hater insisted.
One slide showed Chrissy, in full character, holding up the winner's prize, which was a flight to Napa, California, and dinner at the ritzy French Laundry.

The critics notwithstanding, many of Chrissy's pals applauded the party and her commitment to the decor and costumes.
Brooklyn Decker commented, "L O freaking L."
Chrissy is no stranger to Instagram users ripping her. She recently laughed at the notion that people were upset that more people weren't mad at her.
"When you're mad that there's not enough hate. It's pretty… you're just crazy," she wrote in August.
