"My husband and I were in an overall deal with Netflix, and then not just similar to Higher Ground in the Obamas' deal, once that had come to its term, the extension of it, which was such an incredible sign of the strength of our partnership, was now being in a first look deal," Meghan Markle said while attending Fortune's Most Powerful Women Summit in Washington, D.C._
"Which is also exciting, because it gives us flexibility to go to our partners first, and then at the same time, to be able to shop content that might not be the right fit for Netflix, but has a home somewhere else," Meghan Markle continued. "So for our non-scripted team and our scripted team, we've been doing a lot of content development that can meet different rooms."In 2020, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry signed a lucrative multi-year partnership, but their new contract is reportedly worth significantly less money after their follow-up projects to Harry & Meghan failed to attract a comparable audience.

Critics on X branded Meghan Markle "duchess delulu" after hearing her compare her struggles in Hollywood to Barack Obama and Michelle Obama's success."The fact [that] she always compares herself to someone or something means she has no true individual identity," one person said. "She's a fictitious character."
"Comparing Archewell to the Obamas' Higher Ground is like comparing a school play to a Spielberg production," another chimed in.

"One created award-winning documentaries; the other created a word salad about finding inspiration in… themselves," an account highlighted. "Meghan's fantasy world must have its own zip code by now.""She had to throw some big names in there to prove she's in 'important' company! Horrid creature," a fourth person added. "Even Obama cut her loose."
