Newly surfaced correspondence from 2011 revealed in Justice Department files shows Sarah Ferguson reaching out to convicted predator Jeffrey Epstein with unexpected warmth. Years after he was convicted of solicitation, for which he served a brief jail sentence, the former Duchess of York referred to him as a "legend" and told him he was like a "brother" to her, the emails show. The files also suggest that even as Epstein began to distance himself, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's ex-wife continued to express a desire to keep in touch with Epstein. But while her messages to Epstein were friendly, she was being mocked by others close to him.

An email sent to Jeffrey Epstein by an unnamed friend revealed a cruel nickname for Sarah Ferguson, the former Duchess of York: the "Duchess of Pork." According to a document newly released by the Justice Department as part of the Epstein files, the financier's pal wrote, "Just spoke to Duchess of Pork. She is at this wild lunch with Beatrice. I just introduced myself to her. Told her [I] know (barely) her father and how terrific he is… more later."

Amid a fresh wave of humiliation, Sarah Ferguson reportedly temporarily left Britain. She continues to maintain a low profile as new details of her ties to predator Jeffrey Epstein emerge. However, her ex-husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, the former Prince Andrew — who was stripped of his royal titles in late 2025 by brother King Charles III as scrutiny over his relationship with Epstein mounted — was recently spotted horseback riding near Windsor, England. Neither Ferguson nor Mountbatten-Windsor has commented on the latest file releases.

In recent weeks, moving trucks were seen at Royal Lodge — the 30-room Grade II-listed mansion near Windsor Castle that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and ex-wife Sarah Ferguson both called home for two decades following their amicable 1996 divorce. The former couple were forced out of the residence on the crown's Windsor Great Park estate by King Charles III, who is now footing the bills for his brother's new home, Marsh Farm, on the monarch's privately owned Sandringham estate. While the five-bedroom residence and its grounds are being renovated, the former Duke of York has been staying at another five-bedroom property, Wood Farm, where late father Prince Philip lived before his 2021 death. Reports indicate Ferguson won't be moving in with her ex this time.

While Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been moved from Windsor, England, to the Norfolk countryside, ex-wife Sarah Ferguson has not been provided with new accommodations on King Charles III's Sandringham estate. "She's looking for a place in Windsor," a source recently told
People, indicating that would keep her closer to her daughters,
Princess Beatrice and
Princess Eugenie, and her grandchildren, who live part-time in London about 45 minutes away. A spokesperson for the royal long known as Fergie has said the former Duchess of York is "assessing a number of options" for her next chapter.
