According to
The Sun, Queen Elizabeth II reportedly paid $9 million in 2022 for Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor to settle with Virginia Giuffre. Following his 2021 death, Prince Philip's estate reportedly contributed $4 million. King Charles III is said to have given $2 million to help his brother. "Andrew's not paid back a penny," a source told the outlet.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor reportedly wanted to repay his relatives with proceeds from selling his luxury ski property in Switzerland. However, that never came to fruition. "As far as anyone knows, he still has not repaid a single penny of the millions he borrowed," the source said.

The insider claimed Prince Philip's contribution was significant. "People will be shocked to know so much came from the estate of his father, Prince Philip, who had died a year earlier," the source said. "You can't imagine that the Duke of Edinburgh ever would have expected that his savings would end up being spent on hush money."

The cash allowed Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor to steer clear of facing the late Virginia Giuffre's claims that Jeffrey Epstein trafficked her to the former Duke of York when she was underage. "The money from the royal family bought her silence but denied Virginia her day in court and the chance to openly challenge his account of what happened," the source said.

According to the source, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor led his family to believe he wasn't as involved with Jeffrey Epstein as he reportedly was. "Andrew lied to his own family about the extent of his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein," the insider said. "They bankrolled his payoff to his accuser, Virginia Giuffre. They bought his lies and helped him try and make the problem go away. His own mother, the late Queen [Elizabeth II], was left heartbroken by the scandal. But she could not face banishing Andrew, who was still her beloved son."

After Queen Elizabeth II's 2022 passing, the situation was left to King Charles III — who stripped Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor of his titles and evicted him from Royal Lodge. "She knew this was a problem that his brother Charles would tackle once she was gone — it only pushed the scandal down the road," the source said.
