During an episode of his "Weekly Show" podcast, Jon Stewart claimed he "understands" why Donald Trump is calling the situation the Jeffrey Epstein "hoax.""There's not that many people who are on video dancing with Jeffrey Epstein and with his arm around him and on the plane as the president of the United States," the comedian said of the infamous photos of The Apprentice star and the late financier. "He's doing the whole, 'It's just like Hunter [Biden] 's laptop' and 'Why are we still talking about that anyway?' "Just f****** prosecute the people that are prosecutable and let's be done with this."
"The whole thing is so abjectly ridiculous," Stewart added of Trump's avoidance of the issue. "It's the opposite of a nothing-burger."

Following Donald Trump and the Department of Justice telling the public they found no evidence of Jeffrey Epstein having a "client list" — and made it clear they were not investigating the matter any further — Republicans expressed their outrage."I don't think they're telling us the truth about Epstein," right-wing podcaster Brandon Tatum said during an appearance at a conservative conference hosted by Turning Point USA in Florida.
Megyn Kelly, who typically supports Trump, criticized the way Attorney General Pam Bondi and the administration handled the case. "[Pam Bondi] has never missed an opportunity to go on television and dangle sweet nothings that might be coming your way, try to lead you to believe that she's got it. Pam Bondi was either telling the truth then, or she's telling the truth now, but both cannot be true," she explained during her appearance at the right-wing event.

Donald Trump slammed his right-wing supporters, calling them "weak" and easily influenced by Democrats over the Jeffrey Epstein case."My PAST supporters have bought into this 'bulls***,' hook, line and sinker. They haven't learned their lesson and probably never will, even after being conned by the lunatic left for 8 long years," he wrote in a Truth Social update. "Let these weaklings continue forward and do the Democrats' work, don't even think about talking of our incredible and unprecedented success, because I don't want their support anymore!"
The businessman doubled down on his anger toward the people who voted for him during a meeting with the press in the Oval Office. "Some stupid Republicans and foolish Republicans fall into the net and so they try to do the Democrats' work," he made clear.
