Ashlee Simpson and actor Evan Ross have yet to tie the knot, but the singer-actress is already reaping the benefits of being engaged to a member of the "Hunger Games" cast: most notably, behind-the-scenes access to the latest installment, "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay -- Part 1."
"It was amazing," the "7th Heaven" actress -- who declined to comment on her upcoming nuptials -- told Wonderwall of her May visit to the film's Parisian set. "It's incredible, and I'm so excited for [Evan]."
Ashlee wasn't the only one who walked away impressed. According to the "Pieces of Me" singer, her son Bronx was "very interested in [Katniss's] bow and arrow," though he's yet to catch either of the first two "Hunger Games" films.
Bronx's fascination with Katniss's weaponry shouldn't come as a surprise considering his other current obsession: video game-toy hybrid Skylanders. The 5-year-old and his hot mama got a sneak peek at the newest version of the Activision game, Skylanders: Trap Team, during E3, the Electronic Entertainment Expo, in Los Angeles on June 10.

"Bronx is teaching me [how to play]," Ashlee told Wonderwall during the expo. "Bronx loves Skylanders. He and his friends are all excited about the new game. … He is way better than I am, but what we love about Skylanders is it's a family game. I feel comfortable with him playing."
Ashlee may be comfortable allowing her son to spend some quality time with the Skylanders, but that doesn't mean she's fostering a video game addiction: She caps her son at 30 minutes of game play each day -- "only about 30 minutes for me," she says.
Fortunately, that doesn't seem to be a problem for her "active, artistic, creative" son, who's currently "studying for kindergarten" and counts "music, school, his friends, the trampoline and the pool" among his interests.
Just don't hold your breath for Bronx, whose dad is Fallout Boy bassist Pete Wentz, to follow in his parents' showbiz footsteps -- regardless of his early affinity for music. "You never know what your kid is going to be," says Ashlee. "But it's wonderful that he loves music."

Bronx's future may be wide open, but one thing is certain: He and his mom are guaranteed to have an action-packed summer. "We'll be traveling, and [he's going to] summer camps," says Ashlee. "I'm just looking forward to a nice great summer with Bronx. … It's hot here in L.A., so it's fun to swim together and get outside together and draw with chalk and get creative."
If Ashlee and Bronx's quest for creativity takes them back to the "Hunger Games" set, we'd be happy to tag along!
