"Hello, and welcome to Walmart."
Those used to be the words "Glee" star Cory Monteith, 28, recited day in and day out as a Walmart greeter. While it's a far cry from his current day job as Finn on FOX's hit show, Monteith appreciates his odd-job stints for helping him grow as an actor, he tells Us Weekly in "Glee! The Complete Guide," on sale now.
"If you're an aspiring actor and you want a good character study, you should be a taxi driver for a while -- you see a lot of characters," Monteith tells Us.
So what if it ended tomorrow? Monteith tells Us, "I might do construction. I really enjoyed that. It's very tangible, and you're outside all day. It's good fun!"
